Student Financial Services

Costs + Aid

Welcome to Student Financial Services at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  Although some families find us to be a very affordable public university, we understand that many families require financial assistance to help make it affordable. Our goal is to assist you and your family in every way possible in meeting your educational expenses.  This is accomplished through the awarding of scholarships, grants, loans, and student work programs and by providing you with a supportive and comfortable environment where staff is willing to work with you in obtaining the necessary funds you may need to attend Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  In addition to providing students with financial aid options, our team will also assist you through the billing process and your payment options.

In addition to working with both undergraduate and graduate students, our office also assists veterans and their dependents and works directly with the VA in obtaining educational benefits for these students.

Apply For Aid

Financial aid must be applied for each year. Undergraduate students who complete their files after our priority deadline will be offered funds available at the time they complete their file with the Office of Student Financial Services. Federal work study and most grants are often not available after our priority deadline.  The closer a student completes their file to the bill due date, the less likely they will have aid in time to use toward their billed expenses. If presented with the option to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, families are required to use that tool.

Be sure to include Massachusetts Maritime Academy's federal school code # 002181 so the results will be sent to us.
