Supporting your cadet
Parent PaymentS
Your cadet can add additional payers in Self Service. After logging in, they can follow the link for Student Finance > click on 'my account' > Payers. This person will receive email correspondence from us whenever there is activity on the student's account. This also allows payment on the student's behalf.
Health Insurance
State law requires that all full and 3/4 time (9 credits per semester) students have health insurance coverage that meets or exceeds the minimum standards as set forth in Massachusetts Law C.15A, s.18 (text available on the http://mass.gov website).
Academic Honors
View the President's and Dean's lists. At the end of each academic term, full-time student grades are reviewed.
Parents Association
Become an active member of the MMA community and join the MMA Parents Association (MMAPA) today! The MMAPA provides support to families of regimental cadets at MMA. They do this by facilitating communication among cadet families and the Academy, by sharing information resources, and by raising funds for much needed scholarships. Membership is free and is open to all interested family members, former cadets, and MMA employees.

Care and Action for Students
The focus of Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s Care and Action for Students Team (CAST) is the care and concern for students who may be in distress. Our aim is to connect identified students with the resources and support needed to facilitate achievement of their personal and academic potential while at the Academy. Refer students of concern to CAST by submitting the Referral Form. Once a referral is submitted, you will see an automated reply confirming that your referral has been received, and a member of CAST may contact you for additional information.
