From cover to cover, the yearbook is designed and created by the Student Government Association's (SGA) yearbook committee, one of the longest standing student clubs on campus. The committee is comprised of underclassmen cadets and led by an upperclassman Editor. The process to create The Muster begins in August with Pre-Orientation for the Cadre and Orientation for incoming Cadet Candidates, and concludes the following Summer with the commissioning and commencement ceremonies. Student photographers capture images of these events, among numerous activities and ceremonies held on campus throughout the year. The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Archives holds volumes of The Muster for the years 1945 through 2023 (excepting 1948, 1970, and 1973). Many of these yearbooks have been deposited with the Library and Archives by the Commandant's Office, which oversees the SGA, while some Academy alumni have donated their personal copies. Digital formats of The Muster yearbooks are available online at the Academy’s Internet Archive page, thanks to the Boston Public Library’s Digital Commonwealth program. VIEW YEARBOOKS
