The Positions
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the roles of Mates, Deck Hands, and Deck Engineers aboard a 55’ research vessel engaged in geotechnical and hydrographic surveys within the vibrant offshore wind industry. Stationed out of Highlands, NJ, this vessel operates on a schedule of 12 hours a day, seven days a week, with a four-week on/off crew rotation.

Daily Duties Include:

Conducting pre-departure inspections of engine rooms
Managing line handling with precision
Aiding in the deployment and recovery of geotechnical equipment
Fulfilling lookout duties and steering survey lines with accuracy
Undertaking routine maintenance of systems to ensure operational integrity
Job Requirements
Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certification
Proven experience on similarly sized vessels
Proficiency with diesel engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Compliance with pre-employment and random drug testing policies
A collaborative spirit suited for a close-knit team environment

Additional Qualifications and Skills:
USCG licenses viewed favorably
Experience operating jet boats
Crane operator or rigging skills
Background in survey/research vessel operations or workboat experience
Prior work in offshore wind, oil, or gas sectors considered a plus
