Duties and Responsibilities:
The HSSQE Coordinator assists with compliance oversight of health, safety, security, quality, and environmental matters working in coordination with HSSQE staff and other Seabulk Departments. Promote health and safety awareness and improve operating practices throughout the fleet.
• Report to the Manager, HSSQE Tankers
• Maintains feedback & distribution of nonconformity reports, preparing and distributing Safety Alerts, fleet Near Miss summaries, safety performance reports & management reviews.
• Provide and implement recommendations for the development of organizational programs and campaigns by ensuring the potential and actual occupational health and safety hazards, environmental impacts, and operational risks are considered.
• Ensures that the safety statistics (Lost Time injuries, Near Miss reports, etc.) are accurate and up-to-date.
• Oversees the Company’s Behavior-Based Safety program.
• Drafts and publishes safety alerts, learning from incidents, quarterly safety topics, and other newsletters to shore-side and shipboard personnel.
• When directed, assist with performing incident investigations and developing the subsequent root cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist with the implementation of Mariner training programs outlined in the SEQMS

The job will require five days a week for ~30 hours from ~11am - ~5pm. Weekends and holidays are not guaranteed time off. Main responsibility is to take the Owner and guests sailing in Nantucket sound for daily lunch picnic cruises.

The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (“MSO”) is seeking a temporary maintenance worker to work in the Facilities and Maintenance Department at the Middlesex Jail & House of Correction located in Billerica, MA. We are looking for positive, reliable, and honest individual who will take pride in their work and can thrive in a challenging setting. The applicant must be able to work on a flexible schedule from 6:00AM to 6:00PM at the discretion of management. This is a non-exempt seasonal contractual position. Applicants will work on a contractual hourly basis. The applicant must comply with all institutional policies regarding safety and security within the correctional facility. The individual selected for this position shall be cognizant of the confidential and sensitive nature of working in a law enforcement agency. This position reports to the Assistant Deputy Superintendent I / Maintenance, Facilities Manager and/or the Assistant Superintendent.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ability to work on the grounds of a correctional facility and other MSO facilities and work within the constraints of a correctional setting.
• Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a correctional facility. Plants flowers, mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures, and maintains grounds outside of MSO facilities. Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties.
• Cut lawn using power or riding mower and trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
• Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties. Sweep walkways of debris.
• Install tents and other outdoor structures. Cut down tree limbs and maintain trees on the MSO grounds.
• Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed. Water plants and grass as needed.
• Ability to keep accurate records, tool/equipment inventory and generate timely reports as required.
• Operate machinery and equipment to perform the duties noted above.
• Knowledge of construction safety requirements. Knowledge and/or willingness to be trained on components found in a correctional facility.
• Must be able to work independently and well with others.
• Ability to think on their feet and troubleshoot any number of problems.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Be punctual, reliable, and well organized, having the ability to prioritize tasks.

General Statement Of Duties: 

  • Lead, organize, manage and supervise all maintenance, custodial, and grounds operations of the Academy in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and Board of Higher Education policies and procedures.  Has primary responsibility for reports and interaction with federal, state and local agencies (Police, Fire, DEP, EPA, etc.)
  • Develop and implement an annual comprehensive maintenance plan that is both corrective and preventive for the upkeep of all facilities, grounds and major facilities systems (HVAC, waste water, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural and fire prevention) of the Academy.  Provide an efficient work order system for repairs of facilities and equipment that ensures that all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely fashion.  Recommend facility improvement and modernization to improve the systems, equipment and facilities of the Academy. 
  • Review the annual budget with the Director of Operations & Maintenance, ensuring all aspects can be attained and implement.
  • Develop a custodial services plan for each building that outlines the tasks and expectations for the custodial employees (“Maintainers”), indicating a detailed daily and periodic schedule for cleaning and simple repairs of the facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections for all Academy facilities, grounds and equipment to ensure that high standards for cleanliness, attractiveness and safety are maintained.  Recommend to the Vice President of Operations any improvements needed.
  • Ensure all in-house aspects of construction, renovations, alteration, repairs and operation of all physical facilities are executed properly.  Work with the Vice President of Operations to ensure that all project work is performed as required by all Authorities having Jurisdiction.
  • Perform required written evaluations of Administrators and classified personnel under the department’s jurisdiction. Deals with all union and personnel matters relative to the department in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
  • Ensure correct utilization and accountability of requisitions/purchase order system and chargeback system for supplies and fuels used by other campus departments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Environmental, Health & Safety Office of all Haz Mat situations, remedies and actions for the Academy.
  • Oversees Fleet Management.

Water Taxi of Fort Lauderdale has been an icon in South Florida for over 30 years; serving the Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood area with year-round service, private charters, and special event transportation. Water Taxi is based in the Yachting Capitol of the World, Fort Lauderdale Florida, and boasts the largest passenger fleet in South Florida.

We boast a fleet of 13 boats varying in size from 26’ launch style boats to 64’ high speed catamarans and a staff of over 100 employees.

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Director of Engineering is responsible for planning, and executing daily engineering projects, project planning, supervising activity of other mechanics, shipwrights, and boat cleaners’ parts and contractor procurement, operation, upkeep and repair of all vessels and shore side facilities, to a state of readiness at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and maintain systems including engine machinery spaces, deck, following preventive maintenance program on daily, weekly and monthly basis with the support of the Management
Coordinate resources for flawless execution of projects on time and within budget
Oversees the operation of the computerized vessel maintenance system
Schedule Engineering staff for maximum efficiency
Maintain up to date logs and maintenance program for all equipment and inventory.
Oversee Interior / Exterior cleaning and upkeep of vessels to a top-quality standard.
Diesel maintenance OEM (original equipment manufacturer)/ oil changes /injectors /fuel pumps/transmissions/ assist in engine change outs
Maintain tools, filters, and replacement parts.
Required to follow the company safety and pollution prevention policies and procedures
Prepare the vessels for all USCG annual inspections and dry docks
Participate in shore side training as required by the company
Direct maintenance on-shore side facilities including docks, building, and grounds
Familiar with all company policies, procedures, and Emergency Response Activities.
Strong knowledge of diesel propulsion and electricity generation systems, and support systems such as fuel, air compressors, pumps, hydraulics, plumbing, refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning
Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements
Must have experience in Service Yard Management
Strong organizational skills
Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Have the ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Must have a valid driver's license
MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Possess or able to obtain a TWIC Card
Professional demeanor may have some passenger contact and have the ability to present information and respond to questions
Ability to be able to read, write and communicate in the English Language
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
