Deck hands perform shipboard duties as assigned and instructed by the ships Master or Mate. Duties include but are not limited to participating in marine safety drills and training, watch standing, and general maintenance and cleaning. Deck hands also participate in deck operations that include working with winches, H-frames, and cranes and other mechanical systems in adverse conditions for long periods of time.
TWIC, valid CG medical card, CPR/First aid and STCW basic are required. The company will help you aquire and pay for these documents.
Canidate must pass a pre-employment drug test and will be entered in a random drug testing program.
This is a full time position and is on a rotation of two weeks on and two weeks off.
Medical and other benefits are available after a probationary period.
