In accordance with Massachusetts Govenor Baker's guidelines, the Office of Student Financial Services began working remotely beginning on March 24, 2020.  Students and parents are encouraged to contact us via email whenever possible.  This includes submitting any paperwork to us.  The best way to do this would be to scan and email the document(s) or send as a PDF. Questions regarding bills, payment plans, health insurance, 1098T tax forms for 2019, and all other 'student account' issues should be emailed to student_accounts@maritime.edu.  Questions regarding loans should be emailed to mbarros@maritime.edu.  Questions regarding veteran or national guard issues should be emailed to bklaassen@maritime.edu.  All other financial aid questions should be emailed to ckedski@maritime.edu.  If you are not sure who to send your email to, please send it to ckedski@maritime.edu.

Phone calls can be made to staff members, who are checking their voicemail messages during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm).  Your message will be returned within 24 hours.

INCOMING STUDENTS FOR THE FALL OF 2020

We continue to review financial aid applications on an on-going basis.  Prospective students are encouraged to log into the MMA Self Service Portal to view their financial aid status.  If items are missing from your application, you will see this in the Financial Aid Checklist on the financial aid home page.  We will be sending an email to your MMA email account when your financial aid offer has been finalized.  You can view and print the offer letter from the self service portal.  We will be mailing a financial aid offer packet to your home address as soon as we are able to return to the office.  In the meantime, please view the documents below that are normally sent in the mail:

Information for Class of 2024

Welcome to Student Financial Services at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  Although some families find MMA to be a very affordable public university, we understand that many families require financial assistance to help make it affordable. Our goal is to assist you and your family in every way possible in meeting your educational expenses.  This is accomplished through the awarding of grants, loans, and student work programs and by providing you with a supportive and comfortable environment where staff is willing to work with you in obtaining the necessary funds you may need to attend MMA.  In addition to providing students with financial aid options, our team will also assist you through the billing process and your payment options.

In addition to working with both undergraduate and graduate students, our office also assists veterans and their dependents and works directly with the VA in obtaining educational benefits for these students. 

We hope that you will take advantage of all of the information found on our web page. We recommend that dependent students who rely on their parents to assist them with the financial aid and billing process provide MMA with written permission to discuss their information with their parent(s).
