Captain and Crew responsibilities on a Friendship 40 Sloop, a MJM 35z power yacht, a classic one design 26 foot Waino Senior sloop, 21 foot dual console Robalo and 15 foot Boston Whaler.
Skipper/ Crew responsibilities include:
• Piloting MJM35z, including solo runs from mooring to dock – ability to land on dock and tie up and ability to pick up mooring alone in 15 knots
• Piloting Sailboat, ability to dock and pick up mooring with additional hand.
• Crewing on near daily day sails ; sail trim, changes, hoisting/ dousing, navigation, light mechanical, mooring, anchoring and skippering.
• Provisioning, fueling, organizing and cleaning all boats.
• Ashore duties on inclement days (Provisioning, general errands, organizing, maintenance of household).
• Occasional racing in inter and intra club races.
Candidate needs to have good people skills, enthusiastic attitude, powerboat solo handling skills and willingness to grab a mooring for a 23,000 lbs boat. Decent sailing skills are a plus.
Hours are Monday to Saturday – starting at 11 am, generally ending at 5 pm unless we are out on the water. Start and end dates flexible depending on candidate’s schedule – we boat from Memorial Day to October.
