Summary:

Supports and maintains all aspects of the Deer Island Treatment Plant (DITP) process instrumentation and control system (PICS) Operational Technology (OT) networks with software and system backups along with hardware maintenance. Will be a primary resource for the technology that underlies the DITP PICS which is used to control and monitor wastewater treatment processes at the DITP. The PICS system is a distributed control system (DCS) normally found in the fluid process industries.

Key Responsibilities

Supervises preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all PICS control and support hardware. Contracts out services where cost-effective. Establishes and maintains an equipment problem tracking program to identify future potential reliability improvements.
Supervises and executes all aspects of application software sources, including backup and retention of both control configuration and graphic software source files to support PICS engineering functions and to facilitate restoration of system functions in the event of equipment failure.
Monitors PICS network and system security with hardware, software and tools that detect intrusion and anomalous behavior. Evaluates, recommends, procures and deploys hardware and software tools for use in detecting, preventing, and analyzing network security threats.
Manages the development and implementation of information security plans and policies for the PICS network.
Develops and maintains an incident response plan to prevent and/or counteract security breaches.
Proactively manages OT network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Reviews security policies and procedures, analyzes system logs for threats and makes recommendations to mitigate emerging security risks.
Plans, designs, specifies and promotes system (hardware and software) expansions, upgrades and replacements where necessary in support of both wastewater and thermal power plant operations.
Reviews contracts for major changes or upgrades to the PICS system.
Participates in all aspects of PICS hardware turnover to ensure system hardware integrity, including preventive maintenance, corrective action, upgrade and/or replacement, spare parts inventory and replacement.
Ensures the proper collection of all historical plant data for the automatic transfer of such data to the Authority's management information systems.
Maintains and enhances personal knowledge of computer technology, particularly in the areas of operating systems, digital communications, and cyber security.
Ensures that assigned staff is trained to execute ongoing hardware maintenance, software maintenance, and backup procedures.
Works with assigned staff to execute ongoing maintenance actions as required for ensuring maximum system availability.
Recommends hardware and software upgrades in order to maintain the long-term viability of the PICS system.
Updates existing and generates new system and network drawings as necessary.
Develops and maintains an inventory of PICS system components and relevant documentation.
Develops and implements a disaster recovery strategy for restoring and avoiding downtime in the event of a failure in the PICS system.
Required Qualifications

A Bachelor Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; and
At least six (6) years of experience with industrial process control systems, preferably a computer-based process control system such as a distributed control system (DCS) as normally provided by vendors such as Honeywell, Emerson, or Bailey Controls (ABB); and
At least two (2) years in a supervisory position; and
At least two (2) years of experience with communications technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, MODBUS, OPC, RS232, RS485 and proprietary vendor DCS communications techniques; and
At least four (4) years of experience in network and secure systems management; or
Any equivalent combination of education or experience.
A valid Class D Drivers License or equivalent.

Knowledge and Abilities

Proficiency in computer hardware and software, including SCADA or Distributed Control Systems and communications technology, routers and networking, cyber security, PLC control programming, HMI programming, databases, data presentation and analysis tools, and Microsoft Office.
Experience installing and configuring software on MS Windows-based systems.
An understanding of modern network system design, architecture and security.
An understanding of system administration methods and procedures supporting multiple platforms and applications.
Experience with VSphere ESXi, Visio, and ACAD a plus.
Demonstrated ability to rapidly organize and implement trouble-shooting plans for a computer based process control system.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, train, and assign duties to staff.
Tools and Equipment Used

Mini-computer consoles, tape and disk storage systems, various network and peripheral devices and office equipment as normally associated with the use of telephone, personal computers including word processing and other software, copy and fax machines.

Makes required turbine/generator APC and other critical inspections regularly and as described in preexisting procedures. Recognizes and mitigates operating difficulties. Adapts to changing plant conditions regarding maximizing plant safety and efficiency and minimizing down time.
Documents on log; comments that facilitate problem tracking; work that needs to be performed; and other plant activities that communicate status of plant. Maintains logs and other written documentation on schedule and with clear, accurate and legible writing.
Operates all aspects of demineralization system, including making required adjustments to system safely and accurately. Performs water testing and treatment using knowledge of boiler water chemistry, maintains set parameters and laboratory procedures. Completes accurate and timely water tests; records data and performs chemical adjustments with assistance.
With guidance, operates all aspects of APC system safely and accurately. Adjusts APC system so that system performance is equal to or slightly above facility average. Works with maintenance to troubleshoot problems and assesses probable cause with assistance from Plant Operator.
Maintains work areas in a clean, neat, and orderly condition at all times.
Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the time frame prescribed.
Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
Bachelors or Associates degree or equivalent is desirable
2 years working in a power plant operation or 3 years related experience

Building Engineer II

OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position maintains and operates large and small-scale HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, boiler systems, control systems, and support equipment. This position also responds to tenant service requests, diagnoses and repairs building mechanical, and electrical systems and works on special projects assigned by the Chief Engineer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment such as filter changes, lubrication, inspection, and adjustment of belts and pulleys, cleaning of boiler and condenser tubes, cooling tower maintenance, ballast replacement, and bearing replacement
• Operates and maintains water chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, air handling equipment, fans, automatic temperature controls, electrical switchgear, distribution switchboards and panels, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, valves, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical and electrical equipment and systems in the building
• Regularly checks and records temperature, pressure, water flow, airflow, and chemical readings
• Perform duties required to correct emergency conditions such as sewer back-ups and water infiltration
• Performs painting as needed

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, and related systems
• Familiarity with air and water balancing principles
• Ability to support after-hours emergency response on a rotating basis
• Understanding of life safety systems, including fire panels, emergency power, and sprinkler systems
• Proficient in using CMMS systems for logging work orders and preventative maintenance
• Computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, hazard material labels, and instructions.
• Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and adhere to safety and security practices
• Strong numerical skills, including ability to perform basic math and compute percentages
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply problem-solving in standard situations
• Strong communication and customer service skills; able to interact professionally with customers and vendors.
• Works independently and as part of a team; able to mentor junior staff when needed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 3-5 years of commercial building engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Building Management Systems (BMS)
o Experience with troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing HVAC systems through BMS
o Ability to navigate and interpret trends, alarms, and sequences of operations
• Basic electrical, basic refrigeration, and Universal CFC Certification recommended
• Appropriate License/permit for trade as may be required

Responsible for effectively selling marine engines, engine packages, marine controls, industrial engines, engine packages and related accessories in assigned territory to achieve maximum sales profitability and growth.

Base Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 annually, plus uncapped commission and auto allowance.

Responsibilities

Generate new customer accounts as well as service and maintain existing accounts. Analyze customer needs and interests and determine how company products and services can best meet their needs.
Recommend and sell marine and industrial engines, construction related equipment, materials, supplies, and services utilizing knowledge of machine operations.
Achieve sales goals and forecasts, as established by the department and the organization.
Assist in marketing and sale of new products and/or prototypes to the existing marketplace.
Review completed jobs for variations in component costing.
Interface with other departments, including engineering, manufacturing, production and purchasing, to oversee project development and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
Monitors sales orders to ensure project costs, materials lists and delivery schedules meets project specifications and deadlines.
Compute installation or production costs and prepare and submit bid specifications to existing and potential customers for review. Negotiate proposals and sales and service contracts with customers.
Establish, maintain and develop business, social and networking relationships with individuals within the marine and industrial industries in order to generate and maintain a positive business image for the organization within the industry.
Plan and organize sales strategy.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems, issues or complaints.

**SUMMER** Launch Driver

Summary:

Launch Drivers provide safe, professional, and courteous transportation for GHYC Members and guests aboard Club launches. This role emphasizes exceptional seamanship, strong customer service, and attention to detail. Drivers also maintain clean, ship-shape vessels, monitor mechanical systems, and assist with general waterfront operations. Candidates must be motivated, friendly, organized, and eager to help.

Subsidized housing and staff meals provided for a weekly charge. Competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:

● Safely operate Club launches with strong seamanship and boat handling.
● Perform daily vessel checks (oil, fuel, batteries) and keep launches clean.
● Complete and enter passenger logs each shift.
● Execute daily colors protocol (flag, cannon, bells).
● Keep docks clean, tidy, and functional (sweeping, trash, hoses, minor repairs).
● Greet Members by name; learn boat names and mooring locations.
● Operate VHF radios per FCC rules.
● Monitor Member and Club-owned boats for potential issues and report promptly.
● Assist with kayaks, paddleboards, sailboats, and capsized boats if necessary.
● Support junior and adult sailing programs as needed.
● Assist with dock maintenance (ladders, boxes, signage, storm prep).
● Report unsafe practices, incidents, or injuries in writing.
Qualifications
● Minimum USCG Limited Master License, but Masters License preferred
● Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
● Strong seamanship and boat handling skills.
● Minimum 1 year customer service experience.
