Job Summary:

The Casual King is the South Shore’s largest outdoor furniture showroom. We specialize in premium teak, wicker, aluminum, and our exclusive Poly Lumber Collection.
We are MMA Alumni owned and operated and are looking for motivated, dependable South Shore students to join our delivery and warehouse team this summer.
This is active, hands-on work. If you like staying busy, working outdoors, and earning strong summer money, this is a great opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Possible driving of delivery trucks. We will pay for your DOT medical card or physical if needed.
Riding with drivers to deliver furniture throughout Southeastern MA
Moving and setting up outdoor furniture at customers’ homes
Power washing floor models and display pieces
Loading and unloading trucks using team lifts and equipment provided
Light furniture assembly such as connecting table tops to bases
Picking and staging orders in the warehouse
Helping maintain showroom displays
Deliveries often receive customer tips, which can add meaningful extra income throughout the summer.
This is physical work and you will be moving most of the day.

Schedule:
3 to 5 days per week
Tuesday through Saturday availability preferred
10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
May through September

**SUMMER** Assistant Harbormaster

Under the supervision of the Natural Resources Director or their designee, Seasonal Assistant Harbormasters promote safe and environmentally friendly usage of the Town’s waterways, respond to marine casualties and enforce applicable state and local laws. This is a part time seasonal position with varying shifts and schedules. Work is primarily performed outdoors on boats, docks and town ways to water.

Duties:
Provide on-the-water presence
Responds and assists in emergencies and operates in coordination with additional emergency responders as required
Assists in marine search and rescue assignments
Provide information and hospitality for mariners, residents and visitors
Assists in maritime based special events and or evacuations as directed
Patrol and monitor waterways, piers and boat ramps

Assist in general maintenance of town owned vessels, docks, aids to navigation and equipment
Operate vessel and shoreside waste pumpout facilities

The estimates generated from this work are critically important for managing fish stocks and sustaining recreational fisheries. The incumbent may assist other MA DMF Program personnel with additional projects as needed.

Position Description:
We’re seeking a hands-on Construction Safety Supervisor to lead field safety across multiple active projects and service operations (e.g., general contracting, facilities maintenance, HVAC/electrical/plumbing, janitorial and remediation). You’ll drive a culture of zero harm, ensure regulatory compliance, and coach crews and subcontractors to plan work safely—without compromising productivity or quality. This is a field-forward role with routine travel to customer sites across New England.

Specific Duties:
• Model safe behaviors and visible leadership at the jobsite.
• Conduct daily/weekly site safety walks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and corrective action follow-up.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and proactive coaching with field teams and subs.
• Lead incident/near-miss reporting, root-cause analysis, and lessons-learned deployment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and relevant state/local regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
• Review pre-task plans, lift plans, confined space entries, LOTO, hot work permits, and utility locates.
• Perform audits on fall protection, scaffolding, electrical safety, machine guarding, silica, and respiratory programs.
• Maintain SDS, chemical inventories, and environmental controls (e.g., water remediation, stormwater, waste).
• Partner with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Facilities teams to integrate safety into planning, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, bid reviews, and mobilizations to scope safety controls and cost impacts.
• Track KPIs (TRIR, DART, near-miss rates, audit scores); present trends and corrective actions.
• Standardize best practices across divisions (general contracting, HVAC/mechanical, electrical, janitorial, landscaping/snow).
• Deliver and document safety training (OSHA topics, hazard communication, fall protection, LOTO, respirators, silica, PITs, aerial lifts, scaffolds).
• Keep safety manuals, JSAs/JHAs, SOPs, and emergency response plans up to date.
• Maintain required medical clearances and fit-testing rosters (as applicable).

Position Requirements:
Required
• Safety leadership experience in construction, industrial services, or facilities maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (construction) and 1910 (general industry).
• Demonstrated success conducting field audits, investigations, corrective actions, and training.
• Proficiency with JHAs, permits, LOTO programs, fall protection, silica control, scaffolding, aerial lifts, PITs.

Position Description:
We’re seeking a hands-on Construction Safety Supervisor to lead field safety across multiple active projects and service operations (e.g., general contracting, facilities maintenance, HVAC/electrical/plumbing, janitorial and remediation). You’ll drive a culture of zero harm, ensure regulatory compliance, and coach crews and subcontractors to plan work safely—without compromising productivity or quality. This is a field-forward role with routine travel to customer sites across New England.

Specific Duties:
• Model safe behaviors and visible leadership at the jobsite.
• Conduct daily/weekly site safety walks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and corrective action follow-up.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and proactive coaching with field teams and subs.
• Lead incident/near-miss reporting, root-cause analysis, and lessons-learned deployment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and relevant state/local regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
• Review pre-task plans, lift plans, confined space entries, LOTO, hot work permits, and utility locates.
• Perform audits on fall protection, scaffolding, electrical safety, machine guarding, silica, and respiratory programs.
• Maintain SDS, chemical inventories, and environmental controls (e.g., water remediation, stormwater, waste).
• Partner with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Facilities teams to integrate safety into planning, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, bid reviews, and mobilizations to scope safety controls and cost impacts.
• Track KPIs (TRIR, DART, near-miss rates, audit scores); present trends and corrective actions.
• Standardize best practices across divisions (general contracting, HVAC/mechanical, electrical, janitorial, landscaping/snow).
• Deliver and document safety training (OSHA topics, hazard communication, fall protection, LOTO, respirators, silica, PITs, aerial lifts, scaffolds).
• Keep safety manuals, JSAs/JHAs, SOPs, and emergency response plans up to date.
• Maintain required medical clearances and fit-testing rosters (as applicable).

Position Requirements:
Required
• Safety leadership experience in construction, industrial services, or facilities maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (construction) and 1910 (general industry).
• Demonstrated success conducting field audits, investigations, corrective actions, and training.
• Proficiency with JHAs, permits, LOTO programs, fall protection, silica control, scaffolding, aerial lifts, PITs.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel regionally and work at varied sites (indoors/outdoors, seasonal conditions).
• Clear, confident communicator able to influence field teams and subcontractors.

Preferred
• Safety Degree preferred
• OSHA 30 (Construction); OSHA 510/500 a plus.
• Professional credentials such as CHST, CSP, ASP, GSP, or STSC.
• Experience in one or more of: HVAC/mechanical, electrical, plumbing, water remediation, janitorial, landscaping, snow operations, or facilities management.
• Familiarity with customer-specific safety programs in industrial/commercial environments.
• Incident investigation training and experience

Physical Requirements for Position:
• Regular site presence; standing/walking on uneven surfaces; climbing ladders/scaffolds; lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Use of PPE (hard hat, eye/hearing protection, gloves, fall protection, respirator as required).
• Exposure to weather, noise, dust/silica (with controls), and active construction/facilities environments.

Chief Harbormaster

The State of New Hampshire, Division of Ports and Harbors has a full-time vacancy for a Chief Harbormaster.
Summary: Performs administrative and supervisory duties, including analyzing, developing and implementing long and short range goals and objectives for the Division of Ports and Harbors Harbor Management Program.
Essential duties:
•Supervise Harbor Management activities concerned with enforcing New Hampshire state laws, DPH rules and other regulations pertaining to tidal waters and harbors.
•Evaluates, develops and implements comprehensive plans for tidal waters addressing land uses, zoning, harbor users, mooring plans and environmental issues.
•Represents the agency in coordinating with all public and private agencies, commissions and other organizations which have interest or jurisdiction within the tidal water area.
• Prepares and administers harbor management operating budget for the Division of Ports and Harbors, including general fund appropriations, mooring fees, violation fines and the harbor management fund.
• Defines and assesses existing recreational boating demands and forecasts near future demands; identifies potential opportunity for improving and expanding recreational boating facilities.
• Reviews for consistency with the harbor management plan any public notice of an application for a local, state or federal permit for an activity taking place within the agency's jurisdiction.
• Maintains administrative control over the Harbor Management Program to ensure that local goals and objectives are incorporated into other state agencies.
• Represents the agency in dredging projects.
• Applies and maintains permits for aids to navigation and coordinates the placement and maintenance of the aids.
• Supervises and develops policies for the Division of Ports and Harbors commercial diving operations.
• Develops the security policy for all properties and facilities owned by the Division of Ports and Harbors.
• Review activities of harbormasters through reports prepared by subordinates. Conduct conferences with personnel and onsite inspection participation.
• Coordinate training programs
• Assist the Port Director with recommendations for improving working conditions, maximizing efficiency and improving morale.
• Provide individual guidance and counseling for personnel improvement
• Oversee appropriate uses of division property and equipment.
Minimum qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of the boating industry and its related activities.
• Considerable knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to boats.
• Ability to supervise and train personnel in enforcement work.
• Thorough knowledge of court procedures and the rules of evidence with the ability to testify before courts to present cases.
• Some knowledge of first-aid procedures.
• Ability to direct enforcement activities at public functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to prepare reports and legal orders.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with government and private agency officials and the public.
• Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to designated duties and responsibilities as appointed by the agency appointing authority.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an institution of higher learning with a major course of study in nautical and/or maritime studies, business administration, public administration or criminal justice.
• Each year of approved education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience:
• Five years experience in law enforcement or other relevant field including at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Substantial experience in work associated with boat operations in tidal waters and/ or maritime industries.
• Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, applicants at least 21 years of age preferred.
• Must possess police officer certification issued by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council.
• Experience in SCUBA diving operations is preferred.
• Proven ability to operate division equipment including vehicles, boats, radar radios, computers, etc.
