POSITION TITLE: Painter
DEPT/LOCATION: Various
DIRECT REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Facility Supervisor/Manager
MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Painter is responsible for performing a variety of painting and general maintenance tasks for both interior and exterior projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently or within a team, and the capacity to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Quality customer service skills and flexibility to meet client needs are essential.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform extensive exterior and interior painting projects in a timely and efficient manner.
Patch and paint walls with chips or scrapes, ensuring smooth finishes.
Take direction from supervisors or managers and complete tasks independently.
Provide general handyman services, particularly in carpentry, as needed.
Perform additional work or ad hoc projects per client requests.
Maintain safety and cleanliness of work areas.
Attend weekly meetings with the facility manager to review various projects.
Ensure high standards of work quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Interactions:
Collaborate with engineering team and other employees.
Engage with leaders and stakeholders.
Communicate with customers, visitors, and clients.
Requirements (Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Education and/or Experience):
Three to five years of related painting and general maintenance experience.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in all situations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
Ability to perform additional general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, as required.
Capacity to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work in various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, bending and repetitive movement.
