We are looking for a mid-level designer with proficient building information modeling (BIM) capabilities. As a BIM Coordinator, you must be able to complete project design tasks with oversight and support from experienced personnel. As a self-starter, you will be leading BIM coordination and clash resolution efforts for complex projects. You will be working in a dynamic environment where you will need to adapt to frequent project changes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Develop, manipulate, and maintain 3D models for projects during preconstruction and construction
 Review contract documents, identify issues and develop solutions in coordination with the Project Management team
 Attend coordination and project meetings, provide status updates
 Draw systems to specification and code requirements; provide information to Project Management team for RFI submittals
 Run clash detection, document clashes, and track through clash report
 Review Revit model, make/request changes where appropriate
 Produce drawings with keen attention to detail per TGG SOP's, keeping in mind the needs of the field
 Effectively communicate with Project Management team and other coordinators
 Update Manufacton when coordination is complete and ready for fabrication; upload to Procore
 Manage overall BIM execution and development of coordination drawings for the project
 Look for more efficient layouts of piping systems when modeling projects
 Work with PM Team to develop coordination schedule and notify them of any issues or schedule concerns
 Work with the Foremen to answer questions regarding layout, provide field support
 Identify required maintenance and access zones to equipment, valves, or service access points
 Ensure hangers are located and coordinated with other trades
 Mentor, develop, and coach direct reports and team members

QUALIFICATIONS
 5+ years experience
 Strong interest and understanding in mechanical systems and relevant regulations and codes
 Proficient in BIM software (Revit, Navis works, BIM 360) and Trimble software and equipment
 Familiarity with plumbing and NFPA codes
 Understanding of process from pre-con to final build including BIM coordination, prefab and service
 Understands work structures and processes; effectively documents work
 Understands fabrication process and produces accurate drawings
 Ability to manage time across multiple projects
 Understands impact of model design on cost and safety

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working under the supervision of our Safety Director, the Safety Specialist will:
 Perform regular site visits of active projects to ensure compliance with the Safety Plan
 Assist in the development of project safety documents for field operations
 Develop and review the Accident Prevention Plan (APP); Write Job Hazards Analysis (JHA)s, as directed and/or needed. Provide onsite safety training and education
 Work as a team member with project management, quality control, subcontractors and other personnel to ensure cooperation and adherence with safety inspections, corrections and compliance
 Assist with investigation and recording accidents and workmen's compensation claims
 Maintain record keeping documents as required by OSHA and prepare and research safety needs and expectations
 Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Have completed and earned the OSHA 10 hour safety certificate in construction
 Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, primarily construction standards
 Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and iAuditor
 Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
 Ability to handle multiple priorities, efficiently and effectively
 Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
 Have means of transportation to and from jobsites located in the greater Boston area

How You’ll Add Value…

The role of the Facilities Supervisor is to ensure Azenta buildings and equipment are maintained and operating under safe conditions following regulations at multiple locations including Waltham, MA and Burlington, MA sites currently in operation along with a new facility in Billerica that opened in December 2023. They will coordinate external resources where needed to maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment in good working order. They will assist in the design and development of organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Provides input related to coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.

What You’ll Do…

Coordinate general facilities support with property managers or contractors, including maintenance, janitorial services, and security systems
Provide general laboratory support based on site requirements, including hazardous, chemical, and biohazard waste disposal contracts, management of wastewater systems on site, and regular calibration of specified equipment in collaboration with the EHS team.
Ensure premises are maintained in a safe manner and according to local, state, and regulatory compliance, including OSHA requirements
Maintain up-to-date records for semi-annual and annual inspections or site audits
Maintain plans for fire evacuation and disaster response, and serve as facility emergency response coordinator
Order, restock, and maintain inventory for general facility supplies
Follow established escalation and incident reporting procedures
Familiarity with building management and/or access control systems is a plus
What You Will Bring…

Associates Degree or related years of experience required
1-2+ years of technical or professional facilities or property maintenance-related work experience highly preferred
Basic knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems preferred
Good communication and organization skills
Ability to work independently
Working Conditions/ Schedule

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Position is primarily located in the Waltham, MA site with local travel to the Burlington, MA site and Billerica.
May be asked to travel to other USA occasionally (not expected to exceed 10%)
