Assistant Project Manager

Role Overview
The Assistant Project Manager supports project managers in coordinating and overseeing the execution of construction projects. This role involves assisting with project planning, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The APM also helps monitor progress, communicate with contractors and suppliers, and maintain project documentation. Strong organizational and communication skills are key to ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Primary Responsibilities
• Assists Project Manager and Foremen with supervising and documenting project schedules, change-orders, submittals, budgets, and submit RFIs for approval
• Assists in the maintenance of contract documents for field operations.
• Coordinates project activities under the supervision of a project manager.
• Establishes and maintains open, positive relationships with the team, clients, vendors, and suppliers.
• Manages RFI’s, drawings, specifications, and other project documents properly.
• Assists in the management of project productivity, costs, quality and safety consistent with company policies and practices.
• Creates and coordinates material and equipment schedules and promotes their efficient use.
• Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
• Provide in-person support at job sites as required

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors or Associates degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related degree, or its equivalent and a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience successfully supporting similar primary responsibilities meeting and exceeding performance expectations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
• Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries and jobsite production.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
