Duties and Responsibilities:

Works closely with the President, VP of Production, and Estimating.
Must be able to actively communicate, coordinate, and schedule employees assigned at shipyards on various projects.
Works with Estimating as required for bid proposals and estimate reviews.
Provides and evaluates work item costs to ensure production manpower and material costs are tailored to the estimate and communicates any variation from same.
Works closely with USC Safety Manager to ensure all USC personnel are following approved USC safety procedures/policies.
Work with the safety manager to develop new procedures, measure and manage environmental conditions, and ensure personnel safety.
Participates in all safety investigations.
Oversees and monitors projects to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
Works within the scope and budget assigned to the project and coordinates the progression of the job with USC and Shipyard site project managers.
Reviews job schedules and complexity of projects to determine work priorities and assign appropriate staff to specific jobs/tasks.
Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
Maintains control of personnel/project staffing and may recommend disciplinary action to the VP of Production & Human Resources Manager.
Submits timesheets into payroll by the deadline.
Ensures safety policies are adhered to and compliance requirements are met.
Provides project managers and support staff with project updates and other relevant information.
Implements inspection checklists.
Responsible for production efficiency in the assigned Shipyard project site.
Manages and assigns personnel to all jobs at that location.
Manages and assigns equipment to all jobs at that location.
Manages QA support personnel and records at that location.
Reviews production schedules to manage overtime and personnel.
Approve all vacation time, sick days, etc. for all superintendents, and foremen assigned to that location.
Ensures work scope variations, production delays, and emergent work scope is documented and properly compensated by working with program managers, superintendents, and estimating group.
Communicate daily with all active job managers and office personnel.
Explores and recommends new processes and equipment to improve the efficiency and capability of the company.

Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the maritime industry regarding vessel preservation methods and coating systems.
Advanced computer experience including high proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Programs.
Proficient communication skills both oral and written.
Thorough, well-organized, systematic, and meticulous recordkeeping.
Ability to effectively work with a variety of other people, especially other company personnel.
Knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items is a plus.
Must have prior shipyard experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Second Assistant Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer or his/her designee and assumes duties as assigned. Employee supervises other engineers and unlicensed personnel assigned to the engine department. The employee will operate and maintain various auxiliary machinery systems. The employee will supervise and/or assist in various maintenance/repair projects. Additionally, the employee will assist with student maintenance classes and student training evolutions. The employee must possess a current USCG-issued Merchant Mariner credential for Second Assistant Engineer (Unlimited HP Motor) or higher, with all necessary STCW endorsements.

DUTIES

Performs duties directly relating to the maintenance and repair of ship’s engine room and auxiliary equipment including, but not limited to, wastewater treatment, air handlers, bilge water transfer and treatment, and freshwater generators. Is responsible for internal fuel oil transfers, maintenance/testing of fuel oil systems and any other assigned task.
Assist with all engine and machinery overhauls as directed.
Maintain records of repairs and testing using NS Enterprise maintenance and inventory tracking application.
Make required entries into logs and records (i.e.: Oil Record Book.)
Act as a work supervisor of students during maintenance functions.
Mentor students in watch standing, maintenance, emergency response, and repairs within the parameters of the Safety Management System (SMS) and Chief Engineer’s standing orders.
Strictly adhere to the ship's Safety Management System (SMS) for all aspects of job planning and execution.
Instruct and mentor cadets in the use of and adherence to the Safety Management System as it relates to their job planning andexecution.
Assist with the execution of emergency drills.
Comply with all safety PPE requirements.
Participate in the annual sea term.
Be available for recall, as needed, while the ship is berthed in home port.
Is assigned to the vessel and as such participates in all deployments.

Production Associate (PDP) 2026

The Professional Development Program is an 18-month department rotation program. The program consists of rotations through Production, Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain, Safety, Programs, and other departments. Production Associates will be required to complete job assignments in each department, as well as complete other projects specific to the program. At the conclusion of the program, the Production Associate will be assigned to a permanent position within the organization.

Payscale: $70,800 - $92,100

This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education. Marine Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Marine Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the offshore site, vessel corridors and ports for traffic, safety, intrusion, and environmental permit compliance. The position will manage and maintain the data in the “RSL Manager” marine coordination and offshore wind decision making tool, where data on personnel, vessels, certificates, tracking of vessels, etc. are audited, managed, and stored.

The Marine Coordination center will be located onshore in New Bedford, MA, and the Marine Coordinator will work as part of a team working 12hr shifts, with an on/off rotation, together with the rest of the team coordinating and monitoring the project activities 24/7/365.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Attend meetings as required, liaise with client and client’s contractors, monitor the vessel activities and traffic within the offshore site and export cable corridors and monitor both project and non-project vessels as well as mark areas where actions will be triggered.
• Monitor the AIS data and use the vessel permit tool in the RSL Manager to allow project vessels to ‘go green’ in the RSL Manager system.
• Non-project vessels within a certain distance to assets will be tracked and a log will be created for all non-project vessels, that historical interactions can be logged and easily accessed. Logs shall be kept in the system and all other documentation shall be kept on Company provided cloud-based filing systems such as Dropbox.
• Oversee a register of all passengers working offshore including personnel details on the passenger, such as name, nationality, next of kin, etc. in the system. The role includes establishing whether an offshore passenger has the required trainings for the Project’s HSE requirements and alerting the Project team if there is a discrepancy between a passenger’s trainings and the required trainings. The register will contain personal information of the passenger, which can be useful in case of a medical emergency. The passenger can enter this information voluntarily in the system but it will have to be checked by MCC personnel.
• Responsible for knowing where offshore passengers are located, specifically down to the vessel or asset on which they are located, always. Tracking, as required, must be communicated over satellite phone, radio or other marine coordinator provided solutions.
• Offshore Emergency Response POC for medical emergencies including activating the emergency response plan and coordinating other assets on site to accommodate the emergency, and coordinating the offshore assets as instructed by the Project team in case of an environmental emergency.
• Ensure the vessels are tracking fuel use and run time for each onboard engine as soon as a project vessel enters the project boundary
• Responsible for transmitting the engine run times, fuel usage, and any emissions data from each vessel to the Compliance Team (Environmental Permitting Compliance)
• Plotting Dynamic Management Areas (DMA), Right Whale Slow Zones, & Seasonal Management Areas and notifying the project vessels of the relevant compliance obligation and monitor for non-compliant events, warn project vessels of non-compliance, and report non-conformant events to the Compliance Team in a timely fashion and log compliance for all project vessels
• Track seabed changes as they happen during the project, including anchor and jack-up locations and log in system, as well as track sightings of marine protected species and alert project vessels and report the observations.
• Monitor the established project safety zones for intrusion by non-project Vessels (these will be set up as automatic alerts via AIS geo-zones set up in the RSL Manager AIS system). Any intrusion by a non-project vessel shall be documented and kept in the software log
• Support the project team in collecting and authorizing permit to work applications.
• Other activities may be required from time to time included but not limited to business development, attending conferences, etc.
