BLOCK ISLAND FERRY - SUMMER VESSEL DECK CREW

JOBS AVAILABLE: DECKHANDS for the Block Island Ferry, Point Judith to Block Island, and Newport to Block Island

This is a safety sensitive marine transportation position. Deckhands are responsible for passenger safety, loading and unloading of passenger/vehicle ferry vessels, and general cleaning assignments. Summer seasonal positions are available on the high-speed passenger only ferry as well as the traditional passenger/vehicle/freight ferry vessels.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All applicants for any onboard vessel position must first complete and pass a pre-employment USCG/DOT drug screening, BEFORE starting work.
• Must have excellent communications skills with a strong work ethic and be committed to exceptional customer service.
• SCHEDULE/HOURS: Full or Part Time. Workdays are 10 to 13 hours per day, depending upon vessel assignment and the day of the week. Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
• Must be available to work through Labor Day weekend (Labor Day 9/1/2025)
