The Marine Science, Safety, and Environmental Protection major takes environmental science to an applied and practical level.  The MSSEP curriculum is a blend of courses in the fields of 1) industrial health and safety and 2) environmental protection.  MSSEP prepares students for a wide range of rewarding careers on land and at sea, with myriad companies and agencies.  The program’s breadth of coursework and practical experiences ensures, as an MSSEP graduate, you‘ll successfully transition from college to a career-track job in the field of environmental health and safety.  An amazingly diverse array of career opportunities exists in this field due to global challenges such as environmental degradation, diminishing natural resources, increasing energy demands, green and sustainable development, climate change and increasing safety and environmental regulaltions.  There is a pressing worldwide need for professionals in industrial health and safety and environmental protection.
