WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Shift Supervisor. They will be responsible for directing and supervising Operations Department and other plant personnel to ensure the facility is operated and maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner in accordance with all Company policies and environmental standards, under the direction of the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

Directs and supervises Operations Department and other personnel to ensure the facility is operated and maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner during duty hours.
Maintains and enforces Company policies and procedures, environmental compliance, and safety and health requirements.
Trains shift personnel in safety procedures and equipment use, plant operating procedures, and environmental standards and compliance. Implements corporate and plant training programs and ensures continued progress in the programs by shift personnel.
Responsible for the enforcement and administration of the lockout/tagout system, confined space entry program, and welding and cutting permits.
Performs other administrative duties such as conducting performance appraisals, completing disciplinary forms, accident and equipment damage reports, approval of timesheets, and documentation of attendance and tardiness.
Creates work requests through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Maintains an accurate log of facility operations, activities, and events.
Makes frequent rounds of the facility to ensure proper operation of equipment, materials storage and handling, facility security, cleanliness, safety, and environmental compliance.
Serves as the Plant Manager's representative during periods when upper management is off-site.
Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals as required or directed by facility operations
Decisively and effectively directs personnel during all situations.
Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the time frame prescribed.
Responsible for maintaining acceptable plant morale.
Fosters and promotes a culture of teamwork between operational staff and all other plant staff.
Ensures that the facility and all personnel operate safely at all times and promotes an environment whereby safety is a priority.
Reads, understands, and applies information such as, lockout/tagout procedures, safety rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicates clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio, or face to face.
Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action. Troubleshoot equipment and assists in diagnosing problem areas.
Operates other equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.
Thoroughly and promptly investigates any accidents or near misses in conjunction with management team to ensure that any unsafe practices or conditions are addressed and eliminated immediately.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED (accredited)
Bachelor's degree, Associate degree or equivalent is desirable
Two years working in a power plant environment as PO or comparable position, or 5 years related experience which includes training in a power plant environment.
Skills, experience, and knowledge sufficient to acquire ASME QRO Provisional license. (ASME: American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
For all Massachusetts facility's, a 2nd Class Engineers license is required.
Math skills sufficient to complete required job functions
Knowledge and understanding of the operation and control of a steam generating power plant
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of PC operations.
Must be able to work overtime, odd and unscheduled hours as required and share on-call duties

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Team Leadership
Supervise, coach, and help develop a team of Building Engineers and Maintenance Technicians across multiple assets; oversee scheduling, coverage, on‑call rotations, and performance management.
Conduct field audits and top to bottom inspections to validate quality of rounds, PM completion, and documentation.
Help DOE Champion a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and tenant‑first service.

Ensure consistency and communication across portfolio
In coordination with Regional Property Manager and General Managers, regularly assess current policies and implement new portfolio policies Mechanical Systems Support (Hands‑On & Technical Oversight)
Provide advanced troubleshooting and optimization for HVAC systems supporting office, medical office and life science systems (central plants, boilers, air cooled chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, VAV’s, standby oil units, pumps, heat exchangers, steam boilers/systems, House VAC, CDA and RODI systems, Nitrogen generators, fume hoods, gas monitoring systems, PH Neutralization systems, BTU metering, energy recovering systems, stand by and life safety generators.)
Support and oversee high-performance HVAC systems, including 100% outside air systems, pressurization control, and tight environmental tolerances required in lab spaces.
Ensure throughout the portfolio the management of the water treatment programs (closed loop, condenser water, domestic water, and specialty lab/process water systems where applicable) with strong attention to system performance is being carried out
Oversee, understand electrical distribution (switchgear, transformers, panels), emergency power (generators, ATS), UPS systems, and lighting controls; coordinate and execute an electrical maintenance plan for the portfolio.
Work with the Chief Engineers to understand building automation systems (BAS/BMS)—trend logs, setpoint strategies, scheduling, alarms, and sequences of operation; to maintain indoor environmental quality, optimize energy performance, and ensure system reliability
Ensure compliance and maintenance of life‑safety systems (fire alarm, sprinklers, fire pump, smoke control, stair pressurization, emergency lighting) in partnership with Life Safety/Fire Protection vendors to align with regulatory and operational standards.
In line with the DOE, Guide root‑cause analysis for recurring mechanical/electrical issues and lead corrective action plans.
Support specialized lab systems

Operations, Inspections & Compliance
Ensure daily/weekly/monthly engineering rounds are completed, logged, and reviewed; verify meter readings, differential pressures, vibration/noise anomalies, and temperatures/humidity are within spec.
Enforce with all engineers, inspection calendars and documentation for boilers, pressure vessels, backflow preventers, fire/life safety, elevators, tanks, and air quality; ensure timely remediation of deficiencies.
Support compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE, and lab-related operational guidelines.
Partner with tenants and EHS teams to support inspections, audits, and operational coordination.
Support and oversee laboratory waste systems, including pH neutralization systems, acid waste piping, and monitoring controls; ensure proper operation, calibration, and compliance with local discharge regulations and environmental standards.
Coordinate with vendors and tenant EHS teams to maintain system performance, respond to alarms, and ensure safe handling and disposal of lab waste streams.
Familiar with building systems serving animal care (vivarium) facilities, including HVAC systems designed for high air change rates, directional airflow, pressurization control, and strict temperature/humidity requirements

Maintenance, Reliability & Capital Planning
Verify all engineers maintain critical spares inventory (belts, filters, contactors, bearings, sensors) and validate their procurement process to minimize downtime.
Contribute to multi‑year capital plans (equipment replacements, controls upgrades, energy retrofits, and lab infrastructure improvements) with scopes, budgets, and ROI.
Oversee the planning and supervise shutdowns and tie‑ins (mechanical/electrical/plumbing), ensuring risk management and tenant communication.
Lead or support commissioning, re‑commissioning, and retro‑commissioning initiatives.

Energy, Sustainability & Analytics
Make sure engineers optimize BAS schedules, resets, and sequences in line with occupancy and comfort standards; maintain indoor environmental quality targets. Optimize building systems to balance occupant comfort, operational performance, and energy efficiency, particularly in energy-intensive lab environments.
Support sustainability certifications (e.g., ENERGY STAR, LEED, Fitwel, Wells) and corporate reporting

Financial & Vendor Management
Assist Property Managers with budget development and management (OPEX, R&M, utilities); validate invoices.
Oversee vendor performance, ensuring quality service delivery and accountability.
Assist with RFP process, including scope development where needed
Maintain strong relationships with Utility providers and other partners, helping to ensure first class service and responsiveness

Communication & Service
Partner with Property Management, Security, Janitorial, and Leasing to support tenant satisfaction and business continuity.

Qualifications
Experience: 7–10+ years in commercial property/building engineering, including experience supporting life science, medical office, biotech, or laboratory environments with at least 3 years supervising multi‑site or large‑site teams.
Technical: Strong knowledge of HVAC central plants, BAS/BMS, electrical distribution, life safety, water treatment, and CMMS workflows.
Regulatory: Strong understanding of OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE standards, local codes, and environmental regulations.

AECOM is seeking an experienced Resident Construction Manager to help oversee construction of a major wastewater system expansion in Provincetown, Massachusetts. This is a unique opportunity to help manage one of the most significant wastewater infrastructure projects on Cape Cod.

Over the next five years, AECOM will expand Provincetown’s wastewater system to serve the entire town. The program includes:
New 1.125 MGD Satellite Treatment Facility, including:
New headworks/screening facility
Flow equalization and primary clarification prior to final treatment at the existing WWTF
New sludge processing for thickening/dewatering
Expansion of the Town’s gravity sewer collection system town‑wide including 9 new submersible pumping stations, gravity sewers, force mains and approximately 500 sewer connections

Key Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Verify that AECOM’s construction subcontractors are performing work in accordance with the design plans and specifications.
Verify field safety and environmental monitoring programs are being properly implemented.
Verify subcontractor compliance with federal, state, and local permits.
Address subcontractor requests for information and changes in field conditions. Coordinate response with project management and design team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
BS/BA degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field + 8 years of related experience; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education as an Resident Construction Manager.
Demonstrated experience with building codes, construction means/methods, reading plans/specs, and field QA/QC.
Experience with municipal projects and permit compliance (e.g., environmental, safety, and local approvals).
Excellent communication and documentation skills (daily reports, photos, logs).
Experience using MS Office and document control.
Ability to work full‑time on active construction sites (walk/stand for extended periods; climb ladders; use required PPE).

Job Description

This position is a member of EHS’s Occupational & Construction Safety, and Public Health (OCSPH) division and is responsible for the development and implementation of environmental and construction safety programs for construction and remediation projects within the various schools and units within the University. The position is a resource to Project Managers to assist them in implementing their environmental compliance and construction related program responsibilities for their respective projects. Primary responsibilities of this role are to work with the construction project teams to identify EH&S issues and risks during the planning, design, construction, and closeout phases of projects, and assist the Project Managers with maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and Local construction safety and environmental laws.

This position requires strong knowledge of construction techniques and methods and how they relate to potential environmental and safety issues for a project. Complex support may include building occupant & resource protection, continued operation and future use of unique building systems, general construction safety, fire prevention, asbestos, lead-based paint, soil management, PCBs in building materials and other hazardous wastes/conditions.

Focused on Construction and Renovation, the position will support project managers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors by working with third party construction safety and environmental professionals, and internal EHS groups to identify and mitigate environmental health and safety risks for projects, ensuring compliance with local, State and Federal regulations. Ensure stakeholder involvement by working closely with the Office of General Counsel, Harvard Public Affairs and Communications, as well as other Harvard stakeholders.
Manages the University’s core construction safety programs, including but not limited to, Contractor Safety Assessment Programs, Contractor Drug Testing Program, Project Design Review Process, EHS Project lifecycle Program (Design Review, Hazard Assessment, Project Kickoff, Project Support, Validation, etc.), Contractor Community Coordination, Construction Safety Standard and Construction and Renovation KPI management.
Interfaces with applicable regulatory agencies, managing 3rd party EHS consultants, ensuring University compliance in managing construction safety and environmental programs to include inspections and documentation.

The facility is a 3x1 combined cycle power station with GE 6B frames. The O&M Manager will be responsible for providing supervision, direction and leadership to the operations and maintenance staff including the Lead OMT’s, OMT’s, OMT-Mechanical’s and OMT - I&E’s. Other responsibilities include the oversight of day-to-day operating and maintenance activities, environmental compliance to ensure that the facility is operated in a safe, reliable, and economic manner consistent with site O&M Agreement, contracts, permits, and rules and regulations written instructions form the Facility Owner.

Approved salary range for this role is $160,000 - $180,000 based on skillset, experience and education. A 15% plant bonus is also offered depending on productivity. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of (8)-Eight years relevant experience, with a minimum of (4)-Four years in a supervisory or management position. CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR (2ND Class Engineer), Facilities – Central Utilities Plant (CUP), is responsible for monitoring, operating and control of the CUP facilities from the distributed control system (DCS) and performs related duties throughout the facilities; ensures all CUP equipment is operated within design parameters and in full compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; conducts plant startups and shutdowns and participates in the review of problems, incidents, and unusual events; performs routine operational tests and adjustments, maintains accurate records and logs, conducts equipment switching and lockout/tagout procedures and operating plant systems to meet specified and IceTec parameters; monitors operations, optimizes performance, ensures emissions control compliance and keeps facilities clean and safe; and troubleshoots equipment failures, operates chillers, boilers, and other CUP equipment and trains Plant Operators in DCS operations.

REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum MA 2nd Class Stationary Engineer License and Driver’s License
• A minimum of three years of operating experience in power generation or central utility plant;
• Ability to move 50 pounds, move about the jobsite and machinery to access equipment and/or remain stationary for extended periods of time, and perform work on ladders, scaffolds and other above ground locations.

PREFERRED:
• Hoisting
• License 1C and Industrial Waste Treatment Grade 2 License.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety related uniforms must be worn as required.
• May work with hazardous materials.
• Requires extended working hours which includes shift work including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• May be required to perform call-in duty.
• This position will be required to work a crossover shift. Employees assigned to a crossover shift may have schedule changed to cover other employees' vacation periods.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Working on feet for up to 16 hour periods. Work may be performed on ladders, scaffolds and other above ground locations. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. PPE may include, but is not limited to: hard hats, safety shoes and glasses, dust masks, ear protection, protective suits and hot gloves. Must wear CUP issued safety rated uniforms. Work with hazardous materials may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
