POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Facilities Specialist with strong GMP knowledge and hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day operations of building and plant functions, including laboratories, manufacturing plants, utilities, equipment, and systems. This role is essential for maintaining facility compliance, ensuring operational readiness, and supporting cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.
WORK LOCATION:
Travel to client sites may be required based on project demands and client expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform material picking, sampling, and transfer into production for R&D and GMP Manufacturing
Act as point person for raw material receiving and sampling according to SOPs/WIs and Material Specifications
Proactively collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality, and Facilities teams to ensure uninterrupted daily operations
Monitor and maintain facility systems including HVAC, purified water, clean steam, compressed air, and environmental controls
Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair activities for critical equipment and utilities
Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and inspections to identify and resolve safety, compliance, or operational issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for raw materials, consumables, and spare parts using ERP or inventory management systems
Review executed batch records and support deviation investigations related to facility or equipment issues
Assist in procurement and resupply of packaging materials, APIs, and all raw materials
Support internal and external inventory control systems and reconciliation processes
Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations
Support logistics operations including shipping, receiving, and internal material movement
Participate in facility readiness activities for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
Maintain documentation for facility operations, including maintenance logs, calibration records, and equipment manuals
Respond to facility alarms and emergencies, including after-hours support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
High school diploma required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
Technical Experience:
2–5 years of industry experience in a GMP-regulated environment
Hands-on experience with facility operations, utilities, and equipment in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing
Familiarity with cleanroom operations, gowning procedures, and environmental monitoring
Working knowledge of building management systems (BMS), computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and inventory tracking tools
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as SOPs, P&IDs, equipment manuals, and facility layouts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow and execute instructions precisely
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Smartsheets and ERP systems a plus

COMPENSATION:
The expected salary range for this position is $35 hourly. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
