CAD DESIGNER / MECHANICAL ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting directly to the President, this highly visible position will have primary responsibility for preparation of CAD drawings for conceptual, layout, and manufacturing details. Ability to provide structural calculations and representations as necessary for some of this work. Other responsibilities include working with our management, sales team, clients and professionals to capture details. Expert level work with 2D AutoCAD, 3D AutoCAD, Inventor (or similar parametric solid modeling programs), and FEA experience is required. Excellent communication skills required. Experience on construction sites a plus. Day-to-day job function is a combination of working in the office with some on-site work. The individual must be able to manage time, multiple priorities and meet schedules effectively while working in a creative team environment. A positive attitude, flexibility, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and reliability are essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Solid understanding of material science
• Working knowledge of manufacturing technologies and CNC equipment
• Expert level proficiency with 2D & 3D AutoCAD, Inventor, FEA
• Construction experience helpful
• Strong communication skills to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering quality
• Self-motivated, organized with positive attitude and high energy
• Professional appearance
• Excellent math, verbal and written communication skills.
• Creativity problem-solving.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
