This hourly position combines a mix of field and office work. The Field Inspector will be responsible for oversight and documentation of hazardous material spills and cleanup responses, primarily in MA (and to a lesser extent, other states). They will oversee field crews during the cleanup, reporting all required information to the Licensed Site Professional (LSP) so that the release can be managed and closed out in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan. They will also perform any required groundwater / soil sampling and interact with first responders, subcontractors, customers and regulators. Additionally, and under the guidance of the site LSP, they will prepare regulatory reports, waste shipping documents, customer correspondence and project billing. 40 Hour HAZWOPER and/or MA Wastewater Treatment Operators License (Grade 2 or greater) is a plus. The ability to work independently and under deadline is essential. Professional level oral and written communication skills required. This position requires participation in a rotating 1-week 24/7 on-call obligation every 5-7 weeks.
