High Purity Water Service Technician

South Shore high purity water company, 40+ years in the business, seeking motivated field service technician for a fastpaced
and growing service department. A major portion of work in Boston area. Work will be primarily with
pretreatment, reverse osmosis and post treatment systems in the pharmaceutical, research, dialysis and semi-conductor
industries.
Responsibilities:
 Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems
 Analyze, troubleshoot and problem solve on equipment and instrumentation
 Document all service activities within electronic field service management system (FSM)
o Data to be accurate, complete and submitted timely for processing
 Communicate effectively with clients during field service visits
 Provide clear and accurate information to internal departments for follow-up services and quotes as needed
 Perform routine water quality testing, adhering to strict sampling protocols
 Perform field service in compliance with OSHA requirements
Requirements:
 Minimum of high school diploma – vocational trade school training preferred
 5 - 10 years trade related experience preferred
 Plumbing knowledge and experience preferred
 Basic mechanical and electrical skills preferred
 Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
 Ability to operate electric hand tools
 Basic computer skills required
 Clean driving record is a must
 Excellent verbal and written communication
 Attention to detail and detailed service reports a must
 Ability to work independently after training period
Other:
 $30 - $35/hour; rate based on education and experience
 Schedule is 40 hours – Monday through Friday
 Opportunities for approved overtime available
o One weekend per month may be required to work scheduled contract work
 Travel service opportunities available
 On-call service rotation required after training period
