SUMMARY:
Utilize your mechanical abilities to perform repair and maintenance on Commercial / Industrial boilers in the NYC / Westchester/ Long Island area. This role will work alongside an experienced / factory trained service technician who will instruct you in all areas of repair and maintenance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
◆ Perform routine maintenance on boiler equipment and systems.
◆ Assists maintain low pressure boilers, high boilers, power boilers, steam boilers, or hot water heating systems.
◆ Assists replacing defective valves, filters, or steam gauges.
◆ Monitor boiler systems to ensure it is operating safely and properly; facilitates periodic cleaning.
◆ Address any problems with boiler systems and notifies maintenance as needed.
◆ Maintain neat and professional demeanor to guarantee an excellent customer service experience
◆ Contact supervisor concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety violations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
◆ Maintain a clean driving record, drive, and work safely.
◆ OSHA 30 is required, and training is available to those requiring such
◆ Must have their own hand tools.
◆ Must be versed in the use of hand and power tools.
◆ Must be versed in the OSHA rules as to safety for oneself and others.
◆ Ability to perform some welding is a plus.
◆ Trade school and/or previous exposure to HVAC or boiler repair a plus
