Request Official Transcripts

The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Registrar’s Office is pleased to announce a new electronic transcript provider. We have partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to provide secure, FERPA-compliant, online ordering and delivery of official transcripts, effective December 6, 2017. Official electronic and/or paper transcripts may be ordered online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Electronic Transcript Ordering for Current Students and Students who attended after 1990

To request an electronic copy of your transcript, go to the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center. The site will walk you through placing your order, including authorization and delivery options. With a valid credit card, you can order multiple transcripts to be sent to various recipients. There is a processing fee of $7.00 per transcript. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed. Order updates are available via text message and email, and you can also track your order online.

Transcript Ordering for Students who attended prior to 1990

Alumnae who attended prior to 1990 can order paper official transcripts through the online ordering system but the student record is in a format that is not compatible with electronic transcript delivery. To request a copy of your transcript, go to the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center.

Financial Holds
If there is a hold on your student account which prevents the processing of your request, you will be notified via email.  To resolve holds, please contact the Student Accounts office at 508-830-5067. Students are not entitled to receive official transcripts until the indebtedness has been paid or suitable arrangements for payment have been made.

Hold Transcript for Grades or Degree
Transcripts may be held for the current semester’s grades or the next degree date. However, if you are expecting a grade change, do not order your transcript until you are sure the grade has been changed. The Registrar will not hold transcripts for maintenance or grade changes.

Transcripts Issued to the Student
Transcripts in electronic PDF format are sent directly from MMA in partnership with the national Student Clearing House to the recipient through the Clearing House Network. Email is not used to send transcripts since those are not deemed secure systems. Transcripts issued to student are intended for student use only and cannot be forwarded to a third-party recipient. Third parties requiring an official copy of the academic transcript should receive the academic transcript directly from MMA through NSC.

FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RIGHT TO PRIVACY ACT OF 1974
In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, Massachusetts Maritime Academy will not release a student's transcript to a third party (including parents) without the prior written consent of the student. For more information, see Privacy of Records/FERPA.

Electronic transcripts are in PDF format. Download Adobe Reader to view PDF.
