Due to the continuing spread of COVID-19, and in the interest of the safety for our future and current cadets, faculty, and staff, the Academy will be in a
partial shutdown from March 13, 2020 until April 3, 2020. The Registrar's office will be working remotely to support students, faculty and alumni.
The Registrar Team will be monitoring email and taking phone calls during regular
business hours, 0800-1600, Monday through Friday. Faxes and mail services are unavailable.

Q: Can I order my official transcript while the office is working remotely?
A: Yes, Official transcripts can be ordered from our processing partner the National Student Clearinghouse. Official electronic transcripts will be processed within 1-2 business days. Printed Transcripts will be processed and mailed on Mondays.
Q: How can I order an Unoffical Transcript?
Our office does not provide unoffical transcripts. Current students can use the Self Service tool to download and print unoffical transcripts. The option to download your unoffical transcript can be found under the Academics Menu. Self Service will give you the option to download your transcript to your hard drive so that you can distribute the file to your desired recipient.
Unofficial transcripts are not avalible to alumni and students who are not currenlty enrolled in classes at the Academy.
The Massachusetts Maritime Academy Registrar’s Office is pleased to announce a new electronic transcript provider. We have partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to provide secure, FERPA-compliant, online ordering and delivery of official transcripts, effective December 6, 2017. Official electronic and/or paper transcripts may be ordered online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To request an electronic copy of your transcript, go to the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center. The site will walk you through placing your order, including authorization and delivery options. With a valid credit card, you can order multiple transcripts to be sent to various recipients. There is a processing fee of $7.25 per transcript. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed. Order updates are available via text message and email, and you can also track your order online.
Alumnae who attended prior to 1990 can order paper official transcripts through the online ordering system but the student record is in a format that is not compatible with electronic transcript delivery. To request a copy of your transcript, go to the National Student Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center. The site will walk you through placing your order, including authorization and delivery options. With a valid credit card, you can order multiple transcripts to be sent to various recipients. There is a processing fee of $7.25 per transcript. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed. Order updates are available via text message and email, and you can also track your order online.
If there is a hold on your student account which prevents the processing of your request, you will be notified via email. To resolve holds, please contact the Student Accounts office at 508-830-5067. Students are not entitled to receive official transcripts until the indebtedness has been paid or suitable arrangements for payment have been made.
Hold Transcript for Grades or Degree
Transcripts may be held for the current semester’s grades or the next degree date. However, if you are expecting a grade change, do not order your transcript until you are sure the grade has been changed. The Registrar will not hold transcripts for maintenance or grade changes.
Transcripts Issued to the Student
Transcripts in electronic PDF format are sent directly from MMA in partnership with the national Student Clearing House to the recipient through the Clearing House Network. Email is not used to send transcripts since those are not deemed secure systems. Transcripts issued to student are intended for student use only and cannot be forwarded to a third-party recipient. Third parties requiring an official copy of the academic transcript should receive the academic transcript directly from MMA through NSC.
Family Educational Right to Privacy Act of 1974
In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, Massachusetts Maritime Academy will not release a student's transcript to a third party (including parents) without the prior written consent of the student. For more information, see Privacy of Records/FERPA.
