WSP is initiating a search for an Early Career Commissioning Agent to join our Boston, MA office. Be involved in projects with our Property and Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

Takes part in providing local technical assistance for activities to validate construction, integrity, operability, and the commissioning of building systems and facilities projects in the public and private sector. Tasks may include basic assistance with the planning, directing, coordinating, testing, and commissioning and retro commissioning of building systems including HVAC, steam, compressed air, chilled water, plumbing, and automation. Generates accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for performance, reliability, safety, and security for building inhabitants.

Your Impact:

Under general supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site during various construction phases, surveys, blueprints, schematics, data, technical drawings, flow diagrams, computer-generated reports, and other matrices for project energy auditing actions, validation, and commissioning.
Assist with performing basic professional building commissioning work relating to conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, resources, layout, usage, and systems to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and installation or operating permits.
Performs routine building or system commissioning functions and provides entry-level technical assistance on various design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies to account for the proper installation and functioning of equipment and systems according to specifications.
Assist with verifying the characteristics of a site and providing basic technical assistance on various design, installation, and integration issues relating to commissioning and retro commissioning of building systems including HVAC, steam, compressed air, chilled water, plumbing, and automation.
Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation and specifications using electronic systems, drawings, diagrams, illustrations, spreadsheets, and reports.
Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, location data, statistical documentation, studies and surveys, and construction.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
Familiarity with process and concepts for smart building design and technology.
Familiarity with relevant installation and/or construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
Familiarity with discipline-specific design software (i.e., AutoCAD, Revit).

Atlantic Coast Seafood is the last thriving facility offloading the Boston fishing fleet. Atlantic Coast Seafood unloads multiple boats on any given day, seven days a week. Once a vessel has been unloaded, the catch is separated, packaged and shipped out to various establishments across the northeast, all in the same day. Atlantic Coast Seafood has continued to grow, with its daily expansion of customers and the addition of new vessels to be offloaded.

What We're Looking For:
Billing Specialist within our sales/billing office. Candidates would be willing to engage in tasks such as, but not limited to; billing, administrative support, some sales, answering and directing all phone calls, actively communicating with our warehouse team and working directly with fishing vessels to keep track of weights being unloaded daily at our facility located on the Boston Fish Pier.
This position is full-time, 40+ hours/week, with opportunity for overtime Monday-Friday. Availability 1-2 Sundays/month when needed. Start time at 6:30am with daily shift ending between 2-5pm depending on vessels unloading and customer pickups for that day.
We are not necessarily looking for someone with previous experience, but someone who is willing to learn and grow with us here at Atlantic Coast Seafood.
Salary Range: $23.00-$27.00 USD

What You’ll Accomplish

- Lead Mechanical Operations: Supervise, schedule, and plan maintenance for all mechanical systems, ensuring around-the-clock operation and emergency coverage.
- Diagnose & Solve Issues: Actively monitor and troubleshoot system problems, coordinating with contractors and recommending upgrades to maintain top-tier performance.
- Establish Standards: Administer preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

- Emergency Response: Be available 24/7 to respond to emergencies, including power failures, building evacuations, and safety incidents.
- Physical demands include frequent lifting (up to 65 lbs.), pushing and pulling (up to 150 lbs.), as well as walking, standing, and climbing. Availability for emergency on-call duties 24/7 is essential.

What We’re Looking For (Competencies)

Technical Chops:

- Strong expertise in HVAC, and hands on and mechanical diagnostics, and repairs
- Experience with building management systems and technical diagrams
- Post-high school coursework, technical degree, or business certificate

Leadership:

- 10+ years of experience supervising HVAC and mechanical systems in an institutional or industrial setting
- 5 + years of experience supervising Computer based Building Automation Systems
- Proven ability to supervise personnel and manage building systems
- Bonus Skills: Working knowledge of electrical systems, and life safety operations. Journeyman Refrigeration License and EPA license is a plus.

Monitor and implement corrective actions for the building's mechanical systems. Actively diagnose problems and anomalies, document issues, and suggest and implement disciplinary action. Responsible for preventative maintenance and routine or emergency maintenance repairs as assigned by the Mechanical Systems Supervisor, Manager of Facilities Maintenance, or the Facilities Office. Acts as a resource for other technicians and staff to become more knowledgeable and proficient in building mechanical systems and their operation.

What You’ll Accomplish

- Monitor and implement corrective actions for the building's mechanical systems. Actively diagnose problems and anomalies to document issues, suggest and implement corrective action, and provide a comfortable environment for our visitors and staff.
- Troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and repairs on all HVAC systems including air handling units, stream absorption chiller, cooling towers, and all ancillary equipment such as pumps, valves, fans, ducting and variable air distribution units, motors/drives, compressors, thermostats, filters, and condensers; refrigeration equipment; and plumbing systems.
- Completes Work Orders promptly and efficiently to perform preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance procedures, service, and repairs on automated systems. Assists with other related facility equipment for proper operation, ensuring continued Museum operation and a safe, comfortable, and pleasing environment for our staff and visitors.
- Assists Mechanical Systems Supervisor/ Facilities Manager with building and service specifications modifications to building maintenance and HVAC systems to help improve operation, maintenance, safety, and reliability.
- Occasional indirect supervision of staff in the absence of the Mechanical Systems Supervisor is a resource for other technicians and staff to become more knowledgeable and proficient in the building systems and their operation.
- Oversees outside mechanical contractors by scheduling, coordinating, and directing their work to ensure equipment is properly operating and provide for continual Museum operation and a safe, comfortable, and pleasing environment for our staff and visitors.
- Assists in maintaining any required repair and maintenance record logs or files to provide interdepartmental communications, work, and equipment histories.
- Assists in maintaining clean, orderly, and adequately stocked maintenance shop and facilities spaces so facilities operations can proceed safely, expediently, and tidily.
- Responsible for responding to emergency incidents on the property that may threaten the safety of staff, guests, and property. Emergency incidents include but are not limited to bomb threats, fire alarms, natural disasters, power or equipment failure, building evacuations, and other crises' as defined in the Museum's Emergency Preparedness and Management Plan (EPAMP).
-Perform other work-related duties as required by the Manager. Available for Emergencies on-call as directed to ensure continuous operation of facility systems. Must work weekends, holidays, and overtime as requested by management.

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Available for Emergencies 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, and 365 days/year. Daily work hours are 7am-3pm.

What We’re Looking For (Competencies)

Technical Chops

- At least 10 years experience with various HVAC systems maintaining building mechanical systems, hot and chilled water systems, steam heating systems, air handlers, packaged rooftop units, and other related equipment in an educational, institutional, industrial, or similar setting.
- At least 5 years of experience with computer based building management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to complete complex repairs using advanced diagnostic and repair skills for commercial mechanical systems (pumps, seals, actuators, etc.), DDC, and pneumatic controls, and extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in the service and repair of split refrigeration systems.
- An advanced understanding of building and equipment schematics and diagrams.
- Technical experience and working knowledge of building management systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or advanced education: Vo-Tech Certification in HVAC and Refrigeration.

Possession of a current Massachusetts Journeyman level license in HVAC and Refrigeration is required

About the position: As Senior Risk Management Trainer, you will collaborate with the Risk Management and Programming Teams to deliver exceptional training experiences to members and peers. You will be responsible for creating, presenting, and revising training programs and materials for MIIA members and staff in a timely and consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Risk Management to set guidelines for the MIIA risk management training and program plan.
● Develop, implement, and evaluate MIIA's safety and health curriculum.
● Assist in developing and delivering training on other MIIA insurance coverages, including
auto, property, general liability, professional liability, law enforcement, school board, and
professional liability.
● Provide on-site and virtual training for members.
● Review member training requests and create training descriptions and course flyers.
● Facilitate online training and track member evaluations.
● Provide monthly training updates and annual training reviews to management.

Additional Responsibilities:
● Analyze member loss data to identify training needs and create materials to address high-loss and topical areas.
● Review materials with the risk management team, create and update technical documentation, and provide guidance for incident review and remediation.
● Serve as a liaison with the risk management team, outside consultants, and members, and conduct outside inspections.
● Become knowledgeable about MIIA’s cyber risk management program and explore educational opportunities.
● Program review and analysis then update, implementation and evaluation.
● Project work as required.

Qualifications: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a safety related field preferably in occupational health and safety. Five years of work experience in safety or insurance related fields. Experience with adult learning principles and creating and implementing training curricula. Ability to work in a team setting and independently. Understanding of instructional design is a plus. Preference for an individual who is a current OSHA outreach trainer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

***This is not a live aboard position***

Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in the RESPECT SERVICE SYSTEM.
Follow safety procedures to ensure the protection of passengers and vessel.
Participate in routine training & safety drills.
Handle lines to moor vessels to pier.
Stand watch in ships’ bows, sterns, or bridge wings to look for obstructions in a ship’s path or to locate navigational aids such as buoys and lighthouses.
Assist Captain and supervisory personnel in maintaining vessel equipment and systems such as HVAC, engine, and technical equipment.
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas.
Sweep, mop, and wash down decks and exterior to remove dirt and debris using brooms, mops, brushes, and hoses.
Load or unload materials from vessels; gather and remove trash from vessel.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
Performs security/safety patrols of all decks while vessel is underway. Communicates with passengers, answering questions and responding to complaints.
Assists with boarding and disembarking of passengers.
Ability to work in confined spaces.

Requirements & Qualifications:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
