OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position provides skilled electrical support for commercial building systems and supervises day porters, maintenance technicians, and maintenance assistants when needed. The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading the building’s electrical systems, including switchgear, panels, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems. They may also support general HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical operations as needed. This position responds to service requests, assists with capital projects, and plays a key role in electrical system reliability and efficiency. This individual is considered essential personnel and is required to respond to after-hour emergencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment and systems

• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, lighting systems, motors, panels, transformers, and circuit breakers

• Supports maintenance of switchgear, distribution panels, and emergency backup systems

• Participates in fire alarm testing, emergency lighting inspections, and code compliance reviews

POSITION TITLE:

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
· Responsible for the proper operation of a wide variety of complex machinery and equipment in the processing plant and fishing vessels.

Candidates would be willing to engage in tasks such as, but not limited to; billing, administrative support, some sales, answering and directing all phone calls, actively communicating with our warehouse team and working directly with fishing vessels to keep track of weights being unloaded daily at our facility located on the Boston Fish Pier.
This position is full-time, 40+ hours/week, with opportunity for overtime Monday-Friday. Availability 1-2 Sundays/month when needed. Start time at 6:30am with daily shift ending between 2-5pm depending on vessels unloading and customer pickups for that day.
We are not necessarily looking for someone with previous experience, but someone who is willing to learn and grow with us here at Atlantic Coast Seafood.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and operate all building systems in a safe and efficient manner including life safety systems. Respond and resolve all guest requests and emergencies.

What We’re Looking For (Competencies)

Technical Chops:

- Strong expertise in HVAC, and hands on and mechanical diagnostics, and repairs
- Experience with building management systems and technical diagrams
- Post-high school coursework, technical degree, or business certificate

Leadership:

- 10+ years of experience supervising HVAC and mechanical systems in an institutional or industrial setting
- 5 + years of experience supervising Computer based Building Automation Systems
- Proven ability to supervise personnel and manage building systems
- Bonus Skills: Working knowledge of electrical systems, and life safety operations. Journeyman Refrigeration License and EPA license is a plus.

Assists with other related facility equipment for proper operation, ensuring continued Museum operation and a safe, comfortable, and pleasing environment for our staff and visitors.
- Assists Mechanical Systems Supervisor/ Facilities Manager with building and service specifications modifications to building maintenance and HVAC systems to help improve operation, maintenance, safety, and reliability.
- Occasional indirect supervision of staff in the absence of the Mechanical Systems Supervisor is a resource for other technicians and staff to become more knowledgeable and proficient in the building systems and their operation.
- Oversees outside mechanical contractors by scheduling, coordinating, and directing their work to ensure equipment is properly operating and provide for continual Museum operation and a safe, comfortable, and pleasing environment for our staff and visitors.
- Assists in maintaining any required repair and maintenance record logs or files to provide interdepartmental communications, work, and equipment histories.
- Assists in maintaining clean, orderly, and adequately stocked maintenance shop and facilities spaces so facilities operations can proceed safely, expediently, and tidily.
- Responsible for responding to emergency incidents on the property that may threaten the safety of staff, guests, and property. Emergency incidents include but are not limited to bomb threats, fire alarms, natural disasters, power or equipment failure, building evacuations, and other crises' as defined in the Museum's Emergency Preparedness and Management Plan (EPAMP).
-Perform other work-related duties as required by the Manager. Available for Emergencies on-call as directed to ensure continuous operation of facility systems. Must work weekends, holidays, and overtime as requested by management.

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Available for Emergencies 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, and 365 days/year. Daily work hours are 7am-3pm.

What We’re Looking For (Competencies)

Technical Chops

- At least 10 years experience with various HVAC systems maintaining building mechanical systems, hot and chilled water systems, steam heating systems, air handlers, packaged rooftop units, and other related equipment in an educational, institutional, industrial, or similar setting.
- At least 5 years of experience with computer based building management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to complete complex repairs using advanced diagnostic and repair skills for commercial mechanical systems (pumps, seals, actuators, etc.), DDC, and pneumatic controls, and extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in the service and repair of split refrigeration systems.
- An advanced understanding of building and equipment schematics and diagrams.
- Technical experience and working knowledge of building management systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or advanced education: Vo-Tech Certification in HVAC and Refrigeration.

Possession of a current Massachusetts Journeyman level license in HVAC and Refrigeration is required

Salary Range: $38 - $46 USD
