The Role:
Atlantic Wind Transfers is seeking a Senior Deckhand / AB to join our offshore wind Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) operations based in Quonset Point, RI. This is a full-time, non-rotational position—candidates must be based locally or willing to relocate. Housing is not provided.

As Mate/Senior Deckhand, you’ll play a critical role onboard, supporting the Captain in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the vessel. This is a hands-on position requiring strong seamanship, mechanical awareness, and the ability to lead and support crew in a dynamic offshore environment.

What You’ll Do:
Assist the Captain with safe vessel operations during crew transfer missions
Support and help lead deck crew in daily onboard tasks
Perform routine vessel maintenance and upkeep
Ensure compliance with all company safety, security, and operational procedures
Assist with the safe transfer of offshore personnel to and from wind farm structures
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the vessel
Contribute to a strong, team-oriented onboard culture

What We’re Looking For:
STCW Basic Training required
Valid TWIC card
Strong seamanship and situational awareness
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on maintenance
Ability to work in a fast-paced, offshore environment
Positive attitude and strong team mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

You’ll lead your crew, manage day-to-day vessel operations, and serve as the point person onboard, with full support from our shoreside team.

Safely operate high-speed, waterjet-driven crew transfer vessels
Lead and manage onboard crew in a professional, team-oriented environment
Oversee day-to-day vessel operations, maintenance, and readiness
Ensure compliance with all company safety, security, and operational procedures
Deliver a high standard of service to offshore wind clients and personnel
Maintain vessel logs, reporting, and administrative responsibilities
Take ownership of all onboard activity and decision-making

What We’re Looking For:
USCG Master’s License (100 GRT or greater)
Radar Observer (Unlimited)
First Aid / CPR / AED certification
Strong radar and vessel handling experience
Experience operating high-speed, waterjet-driven catamarans
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform daily vessel maintenance
STCW Basic Training (preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

As Captain, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of our passenger vessels, ensuring a high standard of service while maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational procedures. You’ll lead your crew, manage day-to-day vessel operations, and serve as the point person onboard, with full support from our shoreside team.

What You’ll Do
Safely operate high-speed passenger catamarans (150–320 passengers)
Lead and manage onboard crew in a professional, team-oriented environment
Oversee day-to-day vessel operations, maintenance, and readiness
Ensure compliance with all company safety, security, and operational procedures
Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused passenger experience
Maintain vessel logs, reporting, and administrative responsibilities
Take ownership of all onboard operations and decision-making

Vessel - 110’ high-speed catamaran, Twin MTU 4000 diesel engines, Twin propeller propulsion with MDI trim tab ride-control systems

What We’re Looking For:
