Prime Power Rentals is a 24/7/365 power rental provider delivering turnkey temporary power solutions throughout New England and Upstate New York. Our fleet includes portable generators, transformers, and power distribution equipment supporting utilities, contractors, and critical infrastructure customers.

We are seeking Power Generation Technicians / Field Service Technicians to support the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our growing fleet of diesel-powered mobile generators and power distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver, install, and remove temporary power systems at customer sites

Perform setup and break-down of diesel-powered mobile generators, transformers, and power distribution equipment

Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, generators, and electrical systems in the field

Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of equipment

Provide technical support and temporary power solutions to existing and prospective customers

Ensure all installations meet safety, operational, and customer requirements

Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate with operations staff

Respond to service calls as part of a 24/7 support environment

Qualifications

Experience working with diesel generators, electrical systems, or heavy equipment

Ability to troubleshoot both engine and generator equipment

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

Comfortable working in the field and in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site

Valid driver’s license required
