Strategic Sourcing Manager
Responsible for the effective identification, vetting, and management of key strategic purchasing vendor relationships in order to support effective program execution of all business activities.
Directly supervises a team of strategic purchasers/buyers and is responsible for supporting professional development and ensuring overall team performance & professionalism.

Responsible for the development and execution of Strategic Purchasing activities to ensure achievement of performance targets in line with the company purpose, strategic priorities, and shareholder expectations.
Align and coordinate on overall Supply Chain department strategy with Parts Coordination Manager to ensure collective Supply Chain success.
Coordinate directly with Business Development, Program Management, and Product Development team members to support development of domestic sourcing opportunities and identify/mitigate vendor risks.
Lead and coordinate the qualification and ERP business system “set up” of strategic vendors and partners.
Coordinate with corporate supply chain team to develop vendor selection, set-up, and management processes.
Work directly with corporate supply chain team to jointly evaluate suppliers for foreign/domestic supply projects.
Assist in the Creation and review requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy of pricing and lead time prior to placing the order to the supplier or service contractors.
Expedite materials and service calls as requested to ensure fast and complete delivery and facility repairs.
Compile and maintain records, such as the open order report, Vendor OTD, Small Business reporting, etc.
Manage Parts Master data to include creation of new parts and maintenance.
Coordinate with QEHS department to manage and support vendor audit programs and manage non-conformities.
Ensure export compliance policies and requirements are clearly understood and followed by department personnel.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field plus 7 years direct relatable work experience or High School Diploma and 10 years direct experience in Strategic sourcing and management
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the marine industry and/or defense industry with direct responsibility for vendor sourcing, selection, and management.
Direct knowledge of US government and defense shipbuilding supply chain and customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite.
Experience managing parts and vendor data in corporate ERP system (i.e. Deltek Costpoint).
Knowledge of marine propulsion equipment and service capabilities preferred.
