General Responsibilities

  • Teach an academic course load of 12 credits per semester (Fall and Spring) of college-level International Maritime Business courses in accounting, finance and/or business data analytics, and offer upper-level business electives.   • Engage in curriculum development and improvement.
  • Participate in various academic committees in support of the Department and the Academy.
  • Participate in International Maritime Business Department Experiential Learning Programs.
  • Participate in Open Houses and departmental enrollment initiatives.
  • Serve as an academic advisor to assigned student advisees.
  • Serve as a co-op advisor to assigned student advisees.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Management or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience of teaching and research.
  • Ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Business Data Analytics, Business Management, Maritime Management or a related field.
  • Ideal candidate will be a scholar with interdisciplinary interests and excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the growth of the International Maritime Business department.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in Business, Management or related field strongly preferred.

Salary

$78,000-$82,000 annually. The Academy offers generous benefits and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Academic rank of the successful candidate will be commensurate with academic background and experience.
