Port / Vessel Manager
Our offshore marine client is seeking an experienced Port Manager to work onsite in New London, CT. This vital role will work as a liaison between the onshore engineering team, offshore construction team, and vessel crew. This person will interface with the end client on offshore wind construction projects as needed to oversee our client's vessel activities. This is a 6-12 month contract with possible extensions, ideally starting as soon as possible.
Onshore operational liaison for jack-up windfarm installation vessel(s)
Ensure effective communication and information flow regarding project schedules, operational plans, technical requirements, logistics, and unforeseen challenges
Monitor vessel performance, efficiency, and adherence to operational procedures
Serve as a key operational point of contact with the end clients, including Orsted, SGRE, and other project stakeholders as needed
Participate in client meetings, provide regular operational updates, address client queries, and proactively manage expectations regarding vessel activities
Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all vessel and port operations comply with international maritime regulations (e.g., ISM, ISPS), company policies, and client-specific safety requirements
