Job Description: Certification and Commissioning Engineer

As a Certification and Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of our dynamic and growing VTG Engineering Services team, which focuses on ensuring that our clients' facilities comply with current regulatory requirements and are installed and operated according to design and owner specifications.

You will be responsible for visiting customer sites to perform various quality tests on customer-owned equipment.

Responsibilities:
Conduct testing, and certification for various laboratory spaces and equipment on client premises.

Conduct functional testing and building inspections for a wide array of building systems, including but not limited to Air Handling Units, Chilled Water Systems, Hot Water Systems, Steam Systems, Power Distribution, Plumbing, and Emergency Systems.

Complete all required documentation and administrative tasks related to the assigned task.

Requirements:
• 2-year or 4-year technical degree preferred
• A combination of education, training, and related experience may meet requirements
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to comprehend technical data
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow strict rules and instructions
• Willingness to continually learn new services
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle capable of transporting testing equipment
