The State University of New York Maritime College is currently looking to employ officers and staff for this year's summer training aboard T.S. EMPIRE STATE.

The TS Empire State is looking for temporary personnel to provide class instruction, conduct various technical laboratories, to supervise cadets in maintenance and repair activities, and to stand engine room watches. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with young people and passing on their experiences. It is possible the work assignments may change day to day throughout the Summer Sea Term appointment period.

The FULL Cruise appointment is anticipated to begin May 25, 2025 and ends July 29, 2025. However, you may apply and be considered for one of the following.

Cruise A Half: May 12, 2025 - June 27, 2025
Cruise B Half: June 27, 2025 - August 1, 2025
Full Cruise: May 12, 2025 - August 6, 2025

MMA graduation is on 21 June and the timing would be excellent for recent grades to join the ship for the B Half of the cruise in the Azores. You already know the plant as it is the same as your new training ship. The training ship will visit NOLA, the Azores (B cruise change out), Bergen Norway and return to NY. Please consider.
