US Offshore Wind Training
Global Wind Organisation
Massachusetts Maritime Academy, in cooperation with Relyon Nutec, is pleased to offer the globally recognized GWO Basic Safety Training at its Buzzards Bay campus. This is the first facility in the nation to offer all five modules of GWO Basic Safety Training for Offshore Wind.
Upon completion of the GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) delegates will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working within the wind industry and how to control and mitigate against these hazards.
The BST will also equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency. They will also be able to increase their safety through proper use of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment, and procedures.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all CMPT classes have been cancelled through December 2020.
The first aid training course creates awareness of the importance of delivering first aid in a safe manner. Learn the correct order of management in an emergency, in a WTG environment.
This course provides the key information to understand how a fire can develop and spread. It explains the causes and dangers of fires in wind turbines, as well as fire extinguishing using firefighting equipment in a WTG.
