We are searching for a HVAC Mechanic to perform a variety of duties within and in support of Southcoast Engineering & Facilities. Perform predictive, preventive & corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment & building energy management control systems throughout the facility. Develop strategies to improve operations of HVAC equipment to provide proper environmental conditions with cost effective utilization through monitoring of the Hospitals GE Prophecy program and provide reports on energy initiative savings as well as regulatory compliance monitoring. Analyze current energy consumption of equipment related to HVAC. Troubleshoot HVAC, commission program strategies & field device operations in hospital buildings. Perform installation of HVAC systems and equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose HVAC equipment and make necessary repairs of the equipment and associated systems.

Hours: 40hrs
Shift: Day shift; 7:00am - 3:30pm; Participate in ON-Call rotation to cover nights and weekends
Location: Tobey Hospital – Wareham, MA
Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required
Education and/or Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Heating preferred.
Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License and Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
Related experience required to demonstrate ability to operate and maintain typical HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment Systems.
Two (2) years experience in a hospital or industrial environment with knowledge in the maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers, energy management systems and associated equipment.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19 and seasonal Influenza. Must provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
