Field Service Engineer
Field Service Engineer - Fort Lauderdale, FL
Multiple positions available
We are currently looking for several Field Service Engineers who are familiar with shipboard environmental systems. Ideally you'll be familiar with most common systems installed on board cruise ships. Prior engineering or technical experience at sea on cruise ships is a plu.
Conduct equipment inspections
Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment
Coordinate and assist with equipment installation and start-up
Provide training to crew members
Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
Provide sales support working with crew to support installed equipment and identify new opportunities
Desired skills and experience:
Solid mechanical and electrical skills
Experience with PLC programming is preferred
University degree in engineering field or relevant onboard experience
Familiarity with waste treatment and fresh water generation systems
Ability to read plans and schematic drawings
Ability to travel at sea and perform work on board vessels - travel duration up to 10 days at a time
Ability to climb ladders and access workspaces on a regular basis
Good communication skills in English - both written and verbal
Great attitude and the ability to work with people across all spectrums of an organization
Must have the existing right work in the USA.
