General Responsibilities

Please note that this is a non-benefitted, temporary/contract position.

The Deputy Title IX Coordinator/Investigator supports the institution’s response to reports of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. This role conducts investigations, helps manage cases, and assists with training and prevention efforts to promote a safe and respectful campus environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time (15–25 hours per week, flexible)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prompt, fair, and impartial investigations into:
    • Sexual harassment and misconduct
    • Stalking, dating/domestic violence
    • Discrimination and harassment
  • Assist with intake and case management as assigned to include reviewing reports and determining next steps
  • Interview parties and witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare clear investigation reports
  • Maintain accurate and organized case records
  • Support informal and formal resolution processes
  • Assist with training, prevention programs, and campus outreach
  • Stay current on Title IX and related laws and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1–3 years of experience investigating discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct
  • Experience in higher education, human resources, or civil rights preferred
  • Knowledge of Title IX and related laws
  • Strong communication, organization, and investigative skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality, discretion, and neutrality

Salary

$30-$40 per hour (based on experience)
