Working at Heights + Manual Handling
An essential course to know the hazards and risks associated with working at heights, specific to a WTG. Gain an understanding of how to carry out work duties in a safe and sound manner. Identify aspects of the job that could increase a worker’s risk of developing muscular/skeletal injuries.
New US Offshore Wind Training Center
Massachusetts Maritime Academy, in cooperation with Relyon Nutec, is pleased to offer the globally recognized GWO Basic Safety Training at its Buzzards Bay campus. This is the first facility in the nation to offer all five modules of GWO Basic Safety Training for Offshore Wind.
Upon completion of the GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) delegates will possess an awareness of the hazards encountered when working within the wind industry and how to control and mitigate against these hazards.
The BST will also equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency. They will also be able to increase their safety through proper use of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment, and procedures.
