Wareham Elementary School students at all grade levels have embraced the FTV-STX's Lifeboat Challenge.
Students in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade designed, improved, and tested their own lifeboats. Cadets and crew members who observed their designs were very impressed. They felt like the first one most resembled the enclosed lifeboats on the TS Kennedy.

Kindergarten and first grade students STEAM students combined the FTV-STX Lifeboat Challenge with the 100th day of school. They used aluminum foil to form a lifeboat that would hold 100 passengers. The children used pennies to represent the passengers.
Aboard the TS Kennedy, our enclosed lifeboats have a passenger capacity of 76 passenger.

Captain Campbell, the cadets, and the crew of the TS Kennedy are grateful for the support of students at Wareham Elementary School.
