As parents and home supports for new Massachusetts Maritime Academy students, learn about resources available to your students and how you can best support their academic success. We will present information to help you and your student acclimate to the campus and community. Focusing on the academic demands of Massachusetts Maritime Academy and the available resources, you will learn about our Academic Resource Center, Writing Center, Tutoring Program, Academic Accessibility and Accommodations and other academic supports. We will also share information on Health Services, our Care and Action for Students Team (CAST), Financial Aid, and Equity and Inclusion support programs. The family orientation will also let you know where to go when you have questions, and how to address concerns that may arise during your student's first year. Overflow seating with a livestream will be available all first floor classrooms in Harrington Hall. To ensure we can accommodate all families, please limit attendance in Admirals Hall to two (2) family/support members per cadet candidate. Due to ongoing campus improvement projects, there will be NO ON CAMPUS PARKING available for these events. We ask that all guests park at our Kendall Rae Parking lot ("K Lot"). Kendall Rae Lot is located off of Main Street Buzzards Bay on Perry Ave. Shuttles to and from campus will be available on a regular basis.
