New Parent/Family Academic Orientation

Join us on Wednesday 30 August, 1:00pm - 3:30pm, in Admirals Hall for an Academic Orientation session for parents and home supports of new Massachusetts Maritime Academy students.

As parents and home supports for new Massachusetts Maritime Academy students, learn about resources available to your students and how you can best support their academic success. We will present information to help you and your student acclimate to the campus and community. Focusing on the academic demands of Massachusetts Maritime Academy and the available resources, you will learn about our Academic Resource Center, Writing Center, Tutoring Program, Academic Accessibility and Accommodations and other academic supports. We will also share information on Health Services, our Care and Action for Students Team (CAST), Financial Aid, and Equity and Inclusion support programs. The family orientation will also let you know where to go when you have questions, and how to address concerns that may arise during your student's first year.
