GFC Crane Consultants, Inc. is looking for Operations and Maintenance Personnel to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a unique temporary-to-permanent opportunity designed for recent engineering graduates.
About the Role
As a temporary Operations and Maintenance Personnel, you will work on the day maintenance gang for 90 days, gaining hands-on experience and critical knowledge of our Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes at Port Everglades. This period is a paid training and evaluation period, with the goal of transitioning you into a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities during the 90-day temporary period
Perform daily operations and maintenance tasks on Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes.
Work under the guidance of experienced team members to learn mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Document maintenance activities and report on crane conditions.
Compensation & Benefits
Temporary Period (90 Days): $40.00 per hour, guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Permanent Position: Up to $110,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Lodging: Provided by GFC Crane Consultants, Inc. for the duration of the 90-day temporary period.
Qualifications
Education: Recently graduated with an engineering degree.
Availability: Must be able to start on or before October 20th.
