Sales Director – Marine Services
Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive marine services, including salvage, towage, offshore construction, dredging, pollution response, and other critical services. We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales Director to lead and accelerate growth in our markets.
The Role
As Sales Director, you will lead our sales strategy, driving revenue growth across our diverse portfolio of marine services. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will build and mentor a high-performing sales team while personally developing key client relationships in shipping, offshore energy, insurance, and government sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve aggressive revenue targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in salvage, towage, construction, and related marine services
Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision makers with shipowners, operators, P&I clubs, oil majors, and contractors
Develop and deliver service offerings and quotes
Collaborate with operations and technical teams to create compelling, tailored proposals
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
Requirements
6+ years of progressive maritime sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong existing network within the maritime, offshore energy, or marine insurance sectors
Deep understanding of marine services (salvage, towage, wreck removal, offshore construction, emergency response)
Experience selling complex, high-value technical services to sophisticated clients
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate sales teams
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
