Hoisting Engineer
JOIN OUR TEAM! C. White Marine is seeking full time qualified, safety conscious experienced crane operators. We perform work on private, commercial and prevailing wage projects in MA, ME, NH & RI and offer competitive wages and benefits package.
Required Skills/Certifications:
• 1A Massachusetts Hoisting license required.
• NCCER or NCCCO Lattice Boom/Friction(required)/Hydraulic Certification(required).
• NCCER or NCCCO RT/All Terrain Certification required.
• OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety.
• Current Driver’s License required.
• Current DOT Card
• Transportation Workers Identification Credentials (TWIC) a plus.
• Pile Driving and Marine construction experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records.
• Mechanical Ability.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Operates specialized machinery such as lattice boom cranes, hydraulic cranes, and crawler cranes.
• Uses hand and foot controls to hoist materials or equipment with precision.
• Inspects clearances, overhead lines, and other possible obstructions to ensure there are no accidents or damage to employees, buildings, loads, or equipment.
• Inspect and assess ground conditions to ensure that the crane can be set up safely.
• Inspects cranes for defects and wear prior to operation; performs necessary repairs, greasing, and maintenance looking for any apparent deficiencies.
• Routine maintenance includes but not limited to lubricating motor and moving parts of crane.
• Responsible for inspecting and documenting monthly inspections.
• Complies with all applicable federal, state, and company safety laws, guidelines, and best practices.
• Assists in unloading and assembling cranes or other hoisting equipment to be used in marine construction activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Interact with clients, vendors and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Also responsible for performing duties of laborer when required.
