Learn More About SALT
SALT helps students connect with services they may need to assist them in the many facets of their lives on campus. While providing an open and supportive environment, the program acts as a liason to departments across campus such as the Academic Resource Center (tutoring), Financial Services, the Counseling Center, and more, ensuring participating students will find the support they need.
“SALT empowered me, as an African-American student and minority, to navigate the challenges of higher education with confidence. Mrs. Carrington’s unwavering support and guidance not only helped me achieve my academic goals but inspired me to surpass my own expectations, proving that with the right mentorship, anything is possible.” - Isaiah Cruz, International Maritime Business, Class of 2026
“Entering college is such a huge change, especially if you are the first person in your family to take that step. The SALT program is one of the first steps to take that will help build skills that can be used in the real world. Whether I needed guidance, learning how to use my resources, or staying on track with my academic goals, the SALT program really helped me build these skills I will carry on with me for the remainder of my academic and professional career.” - Leticia Ferrari
