Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate vessel and personnel movement within the offshore windfarm construction site with the aid of the RSL Manager in-house marine management software
Daily manifesting of personnel and cargo as per project requirements
Understanding of the maritime and shipping industries
Radio operator experience is preferred (GOC, ROC, LRC or SRC)
Fundamentals of ship operation, as well as principles in ship management (technical navigation, meteorology, meteorological and navigational systems, navigational planning)
Knowledge of cargo handling, cranage and stowage (regulations, basic maritime trade law, regulations on safety equipment and fire protection, measures in emergencies)
Awareness of Marine Medicine, Evacuation and Advanced First Aid
Assist in software-based reporting, decision making tools and tracking of vessels and personnel, observation of weather and ship movements
Examination of permits, transfers, applications, ship documents and radio activity
Database maintenance and project documentation as well as monitoring of the relevant guidelines

Education, Training & Experience
Degree from a Maritime Academy or equivalent experience within the industry preferred. Fluent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Certificate of competency of nautical watch officer preferred but not required.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts on rotation, shore based, at our Marine Coordination center in New Bedford, MA.
