About the Role:
Imtra’s service department consists of several positions that work closely together as a team. The service technician is an individual role responsible for running and maintaining the service shop, with input and cooperation from other members of the service team, product managers and engineering. The service technician evaluates, troubleshoots, and repairs products. Communicating warranty decisions and repair evaluation, with customers, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities
• Evaluate and troubleshoot returned product for warranty consideration
• Service and repair product
• Effectively diagnose and communicate findings with Customers, Vendors and team members; verbally and via email.
• Accurate record keeping and order entry
• Maintain workshop standards.

Required Achievements and Skills
• Basic understanding of DC, AC and Hydraulic components, circuity and troubleshooting
• Mechanical experience
• Basic computer skills
• Prior experience in the Marine Industry and boating

• A Vessel Marine Operator QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of marine vessels while adhering to industry regulations and standards. Here's a typical job description for this role:
• Job Summary:
• The Vessel Marine Operator QHSE is responsible for overseeing the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects of marine vessel operations. This role ensures compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment and minimize environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations, including SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), ISM (International Safety Management), ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code), and other relevant standards.
• Quality Management: Implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with ISO & ISM standards or other relevant quality benchmarks.
• Health and Environmental Protection: Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to mitigate risks and minimize the impact of vessel operations on the environment.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential hazards related to vessel operations, cargo handling, and crew activities.
• Training and Education: Provide training to vessel crew members on safety protocols, emergency procedures, environmental protection measures, and quality standards.
• Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, or near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Auditing and Inspection: Conduct regular audits and inspections of vessels, equipment, and facilities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training activities, and compliance documentation. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies and our clients
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to effectively manage emergencies such as oil spills, fires, or medical emergencies onboard vessels.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, and environmental performance through data analysis, feedback mechanisms, and benchmarking against industry standards.
• Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Marine Science, Naval Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in marine operations, preferably in a QHSE or compliance role.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Certification in QHSE management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) is a plus.
• Familiarity with marine software systems and tools for safety management and compliance tracking.
