Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance and Facility Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of all equipment, machinery, and facilities at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations, with a particular focus on maintaining and improving the performance of 10 CNC machines and other plant equipment. This position also involves managing facility infrastructure, safety & security compliance, and utility systems to support a safe, efficient, and well-maintained production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Responsibilities:

CNC Machine Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all CNC and production machines to minimize downtime.
Supervise & manage the need to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues with CNC machines.
Coordinate with machine vendors or service providers as needed to support machine uptime.
Equipment and Machinery:
Oversee maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, auxiliary systems, and tools.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and ensure all work complies with OEM specifications and safety standards.
Evaluate and implement upgrades or modifications to improve productivity and machine performance.
Implement and maintain site wide CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
Spare Parts Management:
Manage inventory of critical spare parts and supplies to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Source and negotiate with vendors for cost-effective procurement of parts and services.
Emergency Repairs:
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or facility emergencies and resolve issues to minimize production impact.
Facility Management Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Maintenance:
Oversee building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting, ensuring they are in proper working order.
Schedule and manage inspections, certifications, and maintenance for all facility systems.
Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical utilities to support production demands.
Safety & Security Compliance:
Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory standards for equipment and facilities.
Collaborate with the safety team to identify and address potential hazards.
Support security compliance and physical Security systems.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
Coordinate with external contractors for facility repairs, cleaning, landscaping, snow management and waste.
Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality and adherence to timelines & cost effectiveness.
CAEPX & Budget Management
Maintain the facilities & maintenance budget year to year which includes extensive use of the indirect purchasing system.
Assist with cost tracking initiatives and look for any cost savings where possible.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in management roles, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of CNC machinery operation, maintenance, and repair processes.
Ability to pass Security Clearance as needed for the role
Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance planning tools.
Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA and other safety regulations.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints.
Certifications (Preferred):

HVAC, electrical, or other trade certifications.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
On-call availability for emergency repairs or facility issues outside regular working hours.

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our critical facility systems and equipment. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for performing and documenting maintenance activities, including preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems, and operating equipment including but not limited to HVAC for controlled spaces, DI Water, Walk-in & Reach-in Coolers / Freezers and Compressed Air.

Key Responsibilities are:

- Responsible for performing and documenting the required maintenance and monitoring for the cGMP facility systems, and equipment.
- Preventative and corrective maintenance on the facility’s mechanical system.
- Operation of the facility's HVAC, DI, freezers & coolers equipment.
- Makes inspection rounds and ensures all utilities and equipment in the area of responsibility are operated and maintained per cGMP guidelines.
- Manages small projects which requires excellent planning and coordination between vendors and stakeholders.
- Executes on all quality relevant work such as Commissioning / Validation, Impact Assessment's, NC's & CAPA's.
- Adhering to all established Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Policies.
- Ensures adequate inventory of spare parts is available.
- Partners with team members and stakeholders to ensure KPI's are met.
- Training new employees on the maintenance of equipment, safety of equipment, SOPs and GMPs on an as needed basis.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines and with all applicable company, federal, and local EH&S regulations, guidelines and policies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 1-4 years of experience in cGMP and or FDA regulated Facilities
- Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
