Seeking an experienced marine technician to join our yacht company.
The position is based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Company vehicles are provided.
Typical Pay Range (Based on skills/experience): $30-$60/hr
Schedule & Benefits:
Monday through Friday starting at 8am
8-hour work days excluding lunch time
40 hours per week
Overtime is paid 1.5 times the standard hourly rate
401k with 3% salary company contribution
100% paid health and dental insurance

Training
Preferred Skills & Experience:
5 years experience in the Marine Electrical & Electronics field
ABYC Electrical Certification, NMEA Certification, Manufacturer Specific Trainings / certifications
Strong troubleshooting skills, and electrical theoretical knowledge and calculations
Hydraulic Systems
Must have and understand how to use power and hand tools
Ability to understand and produce electrical drawings
Personable and able to communicate with customers and co-workers
Physically fit and able to work in tight spaces onboard vessels
Proficient with the use of computers
Programming (ladder logic, structured text, etc.)
Familiar with general marine installation and wiring practices such as understanding best hardware mounting
practices, waterproofing, termination methods, chafe protection, circuit protection, cleanliness
Types of jobs typically performed:
Repair and installation of power supply and distribution systems (AC & DC)
Audio / Visual Systems repair and installation
Network systems repair and installations (routers, access points, managed switches)
Monitoring & Control / automation system repairs and installation
Navigation Systems (Radar, sonar, AIS, Autopilot, etc. – brands such as Garmin, Furuno, Simrad, Raymarine,
Nobeltec)
