As we continue to grow, we are seeking a General Manager to lead the sales and operations of our Mobile Boilers Division. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing both business development and operational performance for one of our fastest-growing service areas.
About the Role
The General Manager will be responsible for directing all aspects of the mobile boiler rental division, including sales strategy, customer relationship management, project execution, and the oversight of installation and service technicians. This leader will serve as the face of the division, driving growth while ensuring excellence in operations, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Relations
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the boiler industry.
Generate and follow up on sales leads, estimates, and proposals.
Provide customers with technical expertise, engineering solutions, and project design support.
Create and manage pricing metrics for mobile boiler rentals.
Collaborate with technicians to support service orders and provide timely pricing, including after-hours assistance.
Help customers design and size efficient temporary heating solutions.
Assist with receivable collections on late invoices.
Maintain relationships with state inspection officials and ensure all permits and documentation are accurate and up to date.
Operations & Leadership
Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the division.
Manage and support installation and service technicians, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Oversee job-related purchases and inventory control, including critical spare parts.
Support training for new technicians and provide technical product knowledge to customers and staff.
Monitor projects to ensure alignment with design, budget, and schedule.
Help establish and implement division policies, goals, and objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical degree).
10+ years of related experience in mechanical, heating, or boiler industries.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, databases).
Proven sales, proposal writing, and presentation experience.
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
