Applicants required to have extensive knowledge of the following:
1. Diesel Engines
2. Direct expansion ammonia and Freon large capacity Refer systems
3. Shipboard Electrical DC & AC
4. Welding and Metal Fabrication skills
5. Mustad Autoline Systems (including basic knowledge of PLC controllers and Servo Motors)
6. Hydraulics
7. Plumbing and Pumps
8. HVAC (Heating and AC)
Chief/DDE: Must possess a MMC with a minimum 2000HP
• All our vessels employ two Engineers who work on a rotating schedule (2 on, 2 off rotation schedule), carrying a single Engineer per fishing trip. Each vessel also has a designated Engineer’s Assistant to help with basic engineer responsibilities.
• Responsible for part ordering, maintenance, shipyard work and other vessel related responsibilities.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand technical information provided by vendors is a must.
• Pay is competitive, based on experience, and is a guaranteed daily rate of at least $1,000/day or 2.8% -whichever is higher.
