Position Overview - Maintenance Mechanic
The Maintenance Mechanic reports directly to a Chief Engineer or Assistant Engineer within the portfolio and works closely with the engineering team/ property management. The role is primarily responsible for the execution of daily tasks and general upkeep of new and existing locations in the market. This role will provide support to all other building personnel, and will constantly look for ways to improve personally and professionally, as well as, improve the overall building health.
Key (or Specific) Responsibilities
Solve maintenance requests submitted via ticketing system
Report completed tickets via ticketing system
Execute short lead time tasks
Report to chief engineer or assistant chief engineer for daily work schedules
Assess and resolve maintenance issues onsite
Proactive approach, walking sites to ensure space is kept to a high standard.
Maintain a good relationship with the tenant teams and members
Periodically coordinate with chief engineer to discuss building health
Minor wall repair and paint touch ups in a proactive manner
HVAC filter changing, cleaning, and strainer cleaning
Repair storefront doors and change locks
General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair door
Assist with preventative maintenance on all appliances
Light bulb changing
Escort and assist outside vendors as needed
Install and remove member logos
Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them, reporting them immediately.
Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
Complies with all policies for the safe storage and usage of hazardous materials.
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Excellent communication and organization skills
Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask
Customer service and/or hospitality experience a plus
Proficient in basic computer skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to work with a large, diverse group of employees and suppliers
Desire to learn and seek new challenges
Detail oriented , pays attention to details regarding processes and extra attention to special requests
Ability to work with a large, diverse group of employees and vendors
