Massachusetts Maritime Academy has signed and returned a Certification and Agreement form and have provided assurance to the Department of Education that we will use no less than the required amount of funds received to provide HEERF (Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds) emergency grants to students. This Emergency Funding is from the Department of Education as part of the Federal CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) of 2020, the CRRSAA (Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the ARP (American Rescue Plan) of 2021. In addition to assisting the Academy with unexpected expenses as a result of the pandemic, this emergency grant from the Federal Government is also to provide assistance to students who experienced unexpected financial hardship caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
At this time, all Emergency Grant funding has been exhausted.
