Visiting and parking


Our residential 55-acre, eco-concious oceanfront main campus is at the mouth of the Cape Cod Canal in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. Join us to take in our state-of-the-art facilities and learn about all the wonderful, life-altering opportunities the Academy offers. 

Massachusetts Maritime Academy is located at 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.

 

Directions

From the North/Boston

  • Take I-93 South and Route 3 South
  • Take Exit 1A towards Route 6 West - Buzzards Bay/Falmouth/Scusset Beach Rd
  • At the rotary, take the 3rd exit onto Main Street
  • At the set of lights in 1.5 miles, take a left onto Academy Drive

From the South

  • Take I-95 North towards Providence, RI
  • Follow I-195 East to Route 25 East
  • Take Exit 10 (Old Exit 3) towards Route 6 West- Bourne/Hyannis
  • At the rotary, take the 3rd exit onto Main Street
  • At the set of lights in 1.5 miles, take a left onto Academy Drive

From the West

  • Follow I-90 East
  • Take I-495 South to Route 25 East
  • Take Exit 3 (Old Exit 2) towards Route 6/Route 28 – Onset/Wareham
  • In 4 miles, keep straight in the right lane of the Buzzards Bay Rotary
  • At the set of lights take a right onto Academy Drive

 

Visitor Parking

 Short-term visitors to the Academy can park in one of the spaces at the entrance to campus along the canal labeled “Public Parking”. These are very limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. There are handicap parking spaces throughout the campus that can be used with a handicapped placard. Overnight visitor parking is not permitted.

 

Attending an On-Campus Event

Parking for athletics and Academy events vary by size and location of the event. Please contact the event organizer for specific information on parking before you arrive on campus.

 

Admissions Visitors

The Admissions Office is located in Flanagan Hall – the only building on the left-hand side of Academy Drive. If you are visiting campus for a tour or interview, Admissions has 4 reserved parking spaces in front of Flanagan Hall labeled “Admissions Visitor Parking”. These are are on a first come, first serve basis. If all the spaces are full when you arrive, please contact Admissions at (800) 544-3411 to obtain a temporary parking pass to be able to park along the canal.

Any visitor vehicles in violation of parking or operating rules and regulations may be subject to citation and/or towing. Massachusetts Maritime Academy assumes no responsibility for damage to any vehicle or its contents for any cause.
